About the job
Do you want to help create safe, developing and meaningful everyday lives for children – in a children's house where professionalism, community and curiosity go hand in hand?
Børnehuset Abildvej is seeking a pedagogical staff member for 37 hours for a permanent position with start on 1 November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. We are an integrated children's house with 90 children distributed across 2 nursery groups and 4 preschool groups. You should be able to see yourself as part of the whole house, and we are looking for you who want to put yourself into play with curiosity about what lies behind the child’s behavior, and who thrive being part of a team where we together develop practice and help each other forward.
We believe that it is our responsibility to create the framework that gives children the opportunity to succeed, and we work from the value and child perspective "Children do well if they can."
We are looking for you who
- meet children with warmth, presence and clarity
- are curious about children’s perspectives
- want to play, explore and be active together with the children
- take responsibility and contribute ideas
- can work independently while being an active part of the community
- contribute to a workplace characterized by humor, respect and integrity.
You do not need to be able to do everything. We are first and foremost looking for a colleague who is enthusiastic about the children, the profession and the community.
In daily practice we place emphasis on you being present, recognizing and clear in your approach – both in your meetings with children, parents and colleagues. You will become an active part of the planning and organization of daily life, where together we create frameworks that invite the children to participate, play and learn based on their prerequisites. We work with planned learning processes with focus on well-being, development and strong child communities – and that all children feel they belong.
With us you get
- A everyday life in an institution in development – where we together create strong learning environments and have an eye for high pedagogical quality.
- A diverse children’s house with a strong community – where you meet happy children, engaged parents and helpful colleagues.
- A house with many different competences – and a culture where we are open, curious and happy to try new ideas and pedagogical initiatives.
- Room for both professional and personal development – with sparring in daily life, time for reflection and joint professional discussions where your voice counts.
- Close teamwork – where we look after each other, help each other forward and focus on well-being, professionalism and a good tone in daily life.
- Professional meetings and reflection rooms – where we collectively develop practice, share experiences and follow up on what we agree.
- Good physical surroundings and many opportunities – both indoors and outdoors, so we can support the children’s play, learning and communities in various ways.
- Influence on pedagogical priorities – and room for you to bring your ideas into play, so we can together shape a meaningful and safe everyday life for the children.
If you would like to see our house and hear more about us before you send your application, you are very welcome to contact the pedagogical leader Lene Dahl on phone 24 94 70 56.
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Child and criminal record checks will be obtained in connection with the employment.
If you can see yourself in a children's house where professionalism, community and the children’s well-being are in focus, we hope you would like to send us your application. We look forward to hearing who you are, what you are passionate about, and how you want to contribute to everyday life at Børnehuset Abildvej.
The application deadline is 18 October.
We look forward to hearing from you.
