About the job

We will be welcoming a new citizen at Limfjordsbakken and therefore we are seeking a professionally strong pedagogue who is passionate about working with citizens with acquired brain injury.

Would you like to work with citizens in collaboration with other professional groups, and do you want to develop your own professional competence and use all you can in the development of Limfjordsbakken? Then you may be our new colleague.

At Botilbuddet Limfjordsbakken the target group is adult citizens with an acquired brain injury or brain diseases with a moderate to severe cognitive and physical loss of function as a result. The citizens' needs vary widely - from maintenance training to special care, pedagogical measures and support for participation in daily, social and cultural life at and outside the residence.

We have 24 places across three departments. The citizens and their needs are very different, so your tasks are diverse.

We want a pedagogue who, in collaboration with other professional groups, is good at focusing on the pedagogical angles and measures – especially the work with the citizen's life history - and who proudly brings professional considerations and approaches into play.

What can we offer?

  • The possibility to help develop Limfjordsbakken, with focus on the individual citizen being much more than their injury.
  • A permanent position of 37 hours per week, in mixed shifts and with work every second or fourth weekend.
  • Both male and female colleagues who are pedagogues, social- and health care assistants, occupational therapists and physiotherapist.
  • Opportunity for professional development in an innovative, interdisciplinary and development-oriented environment.
  • Great focus on professional specialization via courses for all permanent staff, supervision and professional guidance.
  • Focus on improving workflows and documentation, so it best supports working with citizens.

At Limfjordsbakken we see the interdisciplinary as a strength, and we work across professional boundaries. That means that the pedagogical staff participate in the health care work just as much as the health care staff participate in the pedagogical work, while we also focus on mono-disciplinary support and development.

It would be an advantage that you

  • Have experience in carrying out tasks with citizens where the complexity is high – and exciting, as our citizens have very different support and care needs. It could be support for communication, structuring daily life and support to create the life that gives citizens the most quality of life.
  • Have knowledge and experience with Neuropedagogy
  • Are appreciative in your approach to citizens and focus on the citizen's life history.
  • Know yourself, and understand that you and your colleagues have different professional stances and positions, and use this to qualify and reflect on your own work, so Limfjordsbakken in community develops the common professional practice.
  • Are strong in written documentation
  • Would gladly share your professional knowledge with others.

What do the citizens wish for?

We have asked the citizens what they want from their new pedagogue

  • Someone who listens and shows respect
  • Someone you can laugh with, but who also takes things seriously
  • Someone who gladly participates in activities and has energy for the day-to-day
  • Someone who can create a cozy and positive atmosphere

The citizen is at the center of our work, and together with the citizens we work toward as much independence as possible in their own life – and as much joy of life as possible 😊

Can you see yourself in the above, then we look forward to receiving your application.
