Are you our new colleague?

Nørrevang School is seeking, as of November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible, an engaged pedagogue or teacher with strong competencies in special education.

We are a school with a strong social commitment, skilled staff and lovely students. Now we are looking for a new colleague who will help create a school where all children feel they belong and have the opportunity to succeed.

A school for all children

At Nørrevang School we work from a fundamental belief that the public school is for all children. Therefore we focus on developing inclusive learning environments and finding solutions that take as their starting point both the individual student and the communities the student participates in.

We work in professional learning communities and have a focus on strengthening our knowledge about students’ academic, personal and social development. We do this to continually better understand what we as a school should do differently so that the individual student can take the next step.

Since 2022 we have had our own psychologist employed. The psychologist works closely with the rest of the school staff to ensure all children have equal opportunities for participation, development and learning in the school’s communities.

We are looking for you who

  • can create clear and recognizable frameworks and build good relationships
  • are motivated to work with children with special needs
  • have special education competencies and can translate them into practice
  • work systematically and exceptionally structured
  • are proactive and good at initiating activities and interventions
  • meet students, parents and colleagues with an appreciative and respectful approach
  • see interprofessional collaboration as a prerequisite for creating a good school day
  • can find solutions close to the students’ everyday life and contribute to the development of inclusive learning environments
  • have a real and clear belief that the public school is for all children.

At the school we work according to shared rules and frameworks that ensure recognizability, clarity and predictability for the students. Therefore it is important that you can work in a structured and loyal way within the shared agreements.

Your tasks

You will become part of a team currently consisting of five pedagogues with broad knowledge and experience within the special education field. The team works daily to ensure that our children have equal opportunities to participate and succeed in the communities they belong to.

The team’s collective competencies should strengthen Nørrevang School’s ability to create a school where more children can participate, develop and succeed. Therefore it is important that you, with your experiences and special education competencies, can supplement the team and strengthen our joint options for action.

Your primary tasks will be linked to 0th and 6th grade.

We also have tasks related to the transition from the district’s day care to school. We aim to create the best possible transitions and work on the principle that the school must be ready for all district children. The transition work is already underway.
