Pedagogue sought for social-pedagogical accompaniment and activities

Do you have an eye for energy management, and can you create good experiences based on the daily energy level? We are seeking a pedagogue for social-pedagogical companionship for a 29-year-old woman.

About the assignment

You will become a fixed contact for a 29-year-old woman who is cheerful, open and humorous. She especially loves animals and creative activities and would like more social experiences and activities outside the home.

She is diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and a chromosomal deviation and also has a mild intellectual disability. This means she has both physical and cognitive support needs. She can become tired quickly and be affected by pain and therefore needs activities and expectations to be adjusted to her energy on the day. Cognitively, she needs support to take initiative and may need repetition when learning something new.

Your primary task is to accompany her to activities that are based on her interests and wishes. This could, for example, include trips to the cinema, the swimming pool, the zoo, the library or the beach. She also loves music, creative activities and experiences with animals. You will travel around using public transport.

An important part of the pedagogical task is to have an eye for her energy management. You must be able to motivate and invite to activity without pressuring, and at the same time read when she has the energy for an experience, and when there is a need to slow down the pace. On days with less energy, you can instead stay home and, for example, watch films or be creative.

In the beginning, the focus will be on getting to know each other and building a safe relationship. The first shifts will therefore be shorter and take place in her home.

About you

You are a trained pedagogue and understand energy management. You can read the day's form and adjust both pace, expectations and activities accordingly.

You may have a sense of humor and be able to contribute with energy and initiative, while working calmly and respectfully. It is important that you can create motivation and good experiences without pressuring when energy is low.

Working hours

The position is 15 hours per month and mainly takes place on weekends, typically 1-2 weekends per month.

The length of shifts depends on the planned activity and can vary from about 5 to 15 hours. At the beginning, shifts will be shorter, about 3 hours, as you build the relationship.

Shifts are agreed in collaboration with you and planned well in advance.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the Country-wide Agreement entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv.
