Permanent external lecturer in Organizational Analysis

A permanent position as a full-time external lecturer in Organizational Analysis with particular emphasis on teaching within HA-general at the Institute for Organization is available for occupancy as soon as possible.

As an external lecturer you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to educating young people and giving them insight into your practical experiences. At CBS external lecturers are an important supplement to researchers' teaching. The role as an external lecturer also gives you the opportunity to update your theoretical knowledge, discuss with ambitious students and become part of an international academic environment.

The position includes (examples)

• Plan and conduct teaching in Organizational Analysis
• Supervision of students
• Development of teaching materials and examination tasks
• Administration of examinations and other assessments

Qualifications

Qualification requirement is at the master’s level and employment as an external lecturer requires:

• Relevant high-level practical experience that has not been obtained through a university, scientific appointment,

or

• Employment in a scientific faculty position at another university (A faculty position is an appointment as assistant professor/researcher, lecturer/senior researcher or professor/professor MSO).
• An external lecturer, who is appointed on the basis of their relevant practical experience, must have in-depth, current knowledge about the applicability of the subject/field. This is obtained through employment within the subject/field.
• Furthermore, for appointment as an external lecturer, teaching qualifications must be included in the assessment of applicants for an external lectureship.

• In addition to the relevant master’s degree, emphasis is placed on specialization and subject competence within the respective course contents.
• As a person you are structured and independent and have the courage to take responsibility for both academic planning and teaching.
• Additionally, we also view ingenuity and proactivity as important personal competences. You may very well have ideas for both academic content and pedagogy.
• Finally, we seek a person who has good collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to a good working environment

Employment terms

Salary and employment are in accordance with Agreement on External Lecturers at universities etc. under the Ministry of Education and Research . The number of working hours is a maximum of 500 hours per academic year and may vary according to need in the individual semesters. The hourly rate is set twice a year and compensation is based on this.

In connection with employment as an external lecturer you must complete a pedagogical introduction course in university pedagogy arranged by CBS.

You will be attached to a researcher at the institute who will be your disciplinary contact person. You are expected to participate in professional events relevant to the teaching you perform, and you will also become part of the institute's network of external teachers.
