Permanent night shift for the sweetest Kajsa in Kastrup, SSA or nurse

The home

Kajsa lives in a lovely neighborhood in Kastrup, together with her parents and two siblings. They live in a villa, where Kajsa has her own elevator up to her own specially adapted department, with a room and bathroom. The room is super cozy and has space for everything that is needed during a shift.

About Kajsa

Kajsa is 24 years old but very small in stature due to growth deficiency and has a minimal functional level due to brain injury. She has no language and virtually no non-verbal communication and has several daily epileptic seizures. Kajsa needs help with all daily tasks, but also needs a lot of rest and sleep.

About the Job

When you come in the evening, Kajsa is usually downstairs with her family, so you go up and prepare the room and what is needed during the shift. Before bedtime you prepare Kajsa for the night and then make sure she is settled in bed with an audiobook.

• Fixed tasks during the night include:
• Monitoring and recording seizures
• Securing free airways, as she sometimes has a lot of secretions
• Eye drops
• RIK and urine sticks
• Massage and stretching
• Fluid in the feeding tube
• Medicine
• Turning and positioning
• Smaller practical tasks

About you

You must be as quiet as a mouse during the night as Kajsa wakes easily, but at the same time she should not doubt that you are present. It is important that you are “fragrance-neutral” as strong scents can trigger epileptic seizures. You should have a solid professional overview, and preferably experience with epilepsy. You should also have a good eye for structure and be flexible, as the team is good at covering and helping each other with shifts during holidays and illness.

The Shifts

The shifts are 12-hour shifts and run from 19:00-07:00 and you will be employed fixed, at 20 hours per week on average. There is also the possibility of fixed day shifts if you want them.
