Permanent Pedagogical Assistant for DUS at Gandrup School

Do you want to create a safe, fun and content-rich everyday life for the children in our DUS? And do you share our fundamental view of children, that ”children do the right thing if they can” ?

Gandrup Skole is seeking a committed, initiative-driven and responsible pedagogical assistant for a permanent 30-hour-per-week position with start as soon as possible.

In this position you will be an important part of our DUS community. You will, in close collaboration with pedagogues and teachers, help create safe surroundings, high well-being and strong participation opportunities for all children during DUS time and the school day.

We are looking for a pedagogical assistant who

• Has strong relational skills and actively contributes to ensuring that all children experience safety and participation opportunities in the community.
• Takes shared responsibility for creating positive relationships and good interactions between the children as well as between children and adults.
• Is present, engaged and actively participating in the children's play, movement and activities – both indoors and outdoors.
• Involves the children's perspectives and listens to their voices in everyday life.
• Can take initiative and show resilience , while engaging in close and constructive collaboration with pedagogues and teachers to create the best framework for the children.

About Gandrup DUS and School

Gandrup DUS is located in independent premises adjacent to the school. The DUS is equipped with a common room, creative workshop, knight’s room, tumble room, etc. We have access to a hall and gymnasiums. Our outdoor facilities include a skating and parkour track, a campfire hut and the forest. DUS 2 (Oasen) has its own rooms at the school.

DUS places well-being high and works in an activity-oriented manner with several planned afternoon activities.

Gandrup DUS has about 120 children in DUS 1 and 20 children in DUS 2. The school has about 280 pupils from 0th to 9th grade (1-2 streams) and is located a 20-minute drive from Aalborg. We employ about 45 staff.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
