About the Job

Are you passionate about working with people in a care role? And are you curious about what the social sector can offer? Are you also looking for a flexible job where you gain experience working with adults with special needs and a job where your contribution makes a clear difference. Then you are the person we are looking for at the Mårslet Group Home.

We are located in Mårslet a 5-minute walk from the L2 light rail and bus 16

We are seeking relief staff for weekend and holiday coverage, fixed every 3rd weekend, some Tuesdays and possibly during holidays (possibly more weekdays if you wish) for the Mårslet Group Home as soon as possible.

If you are e.g. a student and want to gain practical experience in your studies or you just want to try your hand at the pedagogical work with our wonderful residents, we offer the opportunity!

The target group is adults with developmental disabilities needing pedagogical support in the form of daily help, support and guidance regarding practical and personal tasks, including personal care. Pedagogical and health-related work is carried out with respect for self-determination and life mastery

In House 17 there live 7 wonderful people aged 28-30 with varying mental and cognitive disabilities.

The residents have varied needs for pedagogical support and guidance to structure everyday life, participate in social contexts and maintain and develop social networks.

We work to strengthen each resident’s self-esteem and self-awareness, independence and quality of life, preserve social relationships and maintain a job or employment opportunity.

The Mårslet Group Home is a group home under §85.

The tasks include, among others

  • Socializing and spending time with the residents
  • Guidance and conflict resolution
  • Assistance with personal care
  • Documentation

The Mårslet Group Home is a 24/7 offer, year-round. Working hours are 7:00-23:00, you will always be with several colleagues on site, just as there are always 2 fixed night shifts on duty.

The Mårslet Group Home is the residents’ home, but also a workplace for those employed to help and support the residents in living the life they want and meeting the needs they have.

Regardless of your professional background, we emphasize that you

  • Are eager to work professionally and relationally with 7 wonderfully lovely young people with a developmental disability.
  • Are creative and imaginative in supporting residents to participate in activities inside and outside House 17
  • Are approachable and trust-building, but can also be assertive and calm when necessary
  • Can and will handle light personal care
  • Are appreciative and welcoming toward relatives and will collaborate with them
  • Are keen to be part of everyday life in House 17, which also includes cooking, tidying up and other practical tasks.

We can offer

  • A good introduction and training.
  • A workplace with room for diversity, professional dialogues and good humor.
  • A group home that actively works to ensure we keep our core task in focus and share the same course.
  • A workplace with the residents at the center, which includes a focus on ethics in communication and action.
  • A group home with active relatives, whom we value and collaborate with.

We offer a job

  • Where your effort helps make a difference
  • With open and engaged colleagues
  • With colleagues in development and with a focus on that.
