About the job

We are seeking, as of January 1, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter, a physician in an unclassified position for a one-year appointment. The position can be applied for by physicians who wish to gain closer knowledge of eating disorders and/or child and adolescent psychiatry.

About the clinic

The clinic, together with the Inpatient Ward for Eating Disorders (S3), provides the hospital-based psychiatric treatment of children and adolescents with moderate to severe eating disorders.

We are a clinic spread across two sites in the Central Denmark Region with a large team in Skejby (AUH) and a smaller one in Gødstrup (RHG). The position is initially linked to Skejby, but we work closely together in daily practice around shared patient pathways, supervision, teaching, staff meetings, etc.

The clinic is characterized by high professional standards, ongoing development focus and a long tradition of specialized treatment of eating disorders.

The treatment method is primarily family-based treatment (FBT), where the family is seen as the most important resource; the treatment supports the family's possibilities to help the child out of the eating disorder.

In outpatient treatment there is a close collaboration with our inpatient unit, pediatrics, the other child and adolescent psychiatry, residential facilities and municipal actors.

We work multidisciplinary and have the following professional groups employed: doctors and specialists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, dietitian, social and health care assistant and educator.

PKS and S3 have joint ward leadership with a chief physician, a chief psychologist and a chief nurse.

As a physician in PKS you will be responsible for

  • somatic examinations and broad psychiatric assessment
  • the daily “go-to” function with assessment of blood tests and availability for the clinic's multidisciplinary staff in cases of somatic or acute psychiatric problems
  • coordination and conferences with physicians in somatics as well as general practitioners
  • longer-term psychotherapeutic treatment courses with families where the child has a serious eating disorder
  • coordination and collaboration with professional networks around the family; including holding network meetings.

We can offer

  • an exciting and challenging position among skilled and humorous colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment
  • close sparring with experienced specialists in the department
  • in-depth knowledge of eating disorders and the principles of treatment thereof
  • a good working environment
  • strong collegial esprit de corps

Applicant qualifications

  • the applicant should have an interest in or training in psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, general medicine or internal medicine
  • the applicant should possess an overview and good collaborative skills, as well as the desire and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • the applicant should have an interest in eating disorders, including medical, nutritional rehabilitation and psychotherapeutic treatment.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the governing collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child and criminal record check and a satisfactory authorization.
