Do you love it when something explodes, when the power makes the light bulb glow – or when the trees and the river are today’s classroom?

Do you think that some of the most fun parts of being a teacher, besides teaching and relationship-building, are what happens outside the 'normal' schedule: school trips, theme weeks, and workshops where big and small work together? Then you are the one we are waiting for.

We are looking for a physics- and biology-teacher for our middle school. Someone who knows their subjects – but above all has a fresh school-spirit and wants to be an active part of our community.

Our free school

Allindelille Friskole is a value-based independent basic school with a creative profile, where music, food, nature and the local area are an integrated part of the teaching. We have 168 students from 0th to 9th grade on a single track. The old school buildings are located in the middle of nature, with fields on one side and the forest on the other.

Here everyone knows each other. We sing a morning song together, and each week the whole school gathers for SKAB-time with workshops and dialogue across classes and year groups. We go on a common school trip, and several times a year we break the schedule for theme weeks.

As a teacher with us you are therefore part of the whole school and not only of your own lessons. It also means that everyday life sometimes takes unexpected turns. It is often precisely there that the best solutions and relationships arise – so it helps to carry calm, an overview and humor with you.

Our students are curious, willful and engaged. They want to have influence, and they expect a teacher who sees them, listens to them and takes them seriously – and who at the same time has a clear and caring management in the classroom.

Your subjects

We want to make the science subjects even more lively, and you will have great freedom to put your own mark on them; develop new projects or build on those we have already started.

You will become part of a small science team with good opportunities for sparring and joint development of both the teaching and cross-subject courses. We have a newer physics classroom and a forest, fields and a river right outside the door.

Depending on your profile, you may also take on a class teacher role and teaching in other subjects.

• has teaching experience in physics (or is about to complete the specialization in physics)
• meets the students calmly and with presence and creates a structured, recognizable daily routine
• thrives in a close and committed collaboration with colleagues and parents
• creates teaching where even students who do not fit into the usual boxes experience success
• is part of the community – even when it takes place outside your own classroom

Practical

The position is initially 70%, but can be expanded to full-time for the right candidate. Start December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible. Salary and terms of employment follow the current agreement with FSL, supplemented by local agreement and local salary agreement.
