About the department
Center for Brain Injury’s department at Sjællandsvej is a specialized 24/7 facility for 27 adult citizens with acquired brain injury, who primarily receive support under the Service Act sections 108 and 107. Our team consists of nearly 85 permanent employees – including pedagogues, nurses, social and health care assistants and aides, as well as occupational and physiotherapists and substitutes who work closely together to ensure high continuity and coherence for both citizens and colleagues.
The Citizen’s Center
In Kolding Municipality all administrations work from The Citizen’s Center and the 1-2-3 model. It is our joint approach to task solving, and it gives us a common starting point when we need to create coherence and solutions across. An approach where we are curious and ask questions to the citizen before we begin to think in professional solutions. We therefore start from the citizens’ reality and let the system come to the citizens – not the other way around.
In this way we ensure both that citizens get a satisfactory process with the municipality, and that we use our professional skills in the right way. That we serve the citizens’ best – and the common good.
The model has five rules of conduct, which create clarity about which actions are needed in our daily practice.
