About the job
Are you professionally well-founded, thrive with responsibility, and want to be part of a department where multidisciplinary collaboration is in focus? We are looking for a new colleague who is sharp in physiotherapeutic assessment and who finds neurology an exciting specialty.
Brief about the position
The work takes place in our general neurological ward N31, where we assess the functional level of patients with diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, brain tumor, ALS/MND, Parkinson's, Atypical Parkinson's, etc.
We cover the ward with 1½ physiotherapists and 1 occupational therapist, and you will be the primary physiotherapist. There is close and good multidisciplinary collaboration with the rest of the department's staff, and the therapists have a large share in planning good patient pathways.
This is a permanent position of 37 hours/week. Working hours are primarily Monday–Friday, 08:00–15:30.
Who are we?
The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospitals is a clinically cross-sectional department with its own research unit. We are passionate about making a difference, and therefore patient care, research, development, and innovation are priorities for us.
We take responsibility for our professional standards, including implementing new guidelines and measurement methods, as well as hosting journal clubs, supervision, and workshops.
Our team in general neurology consists of two occupational therapists and three physiotherapists in total. We have strong professional and social relationships, and we always help each other when needed.
The team is part of the neurological group, where we are 27 therapists plus a research and development therapist in total.
We participate in several quality and development projects across the hospital and sectors, as well as local working groups with the aim of improving and developing patient pathways in neurological care.
Your primary tasks
- Acute functional assessments of neurological patients with setting of goals and plans, as well as recommendations for discharge destination and rehabilitation needs
- Actively contribute to daily multidisciplinary collaboration around the patient through, among other things, board meetings and the inclusive ward round (DIS).
- Short rehabilitation courses for patients with neurological issues
We expect that you
- Find the neurological specialty exciting and can handle working with seriously ill people and their relatives
- Are professionally well-founded, strong in clinical reasoning, and can communicate it orally as well as in writing
- thrive working independently, and have a good ability to prioritize and create overview
- Have good collaboration skills and see it as natural to involve multidisciplinary collaborators
- Have knowledge of working in a hospital and thrive in an acute environment with many different patient pathways and collaborators
We offer
- Skilled and good colleagues who value professional sparring and knowledge sharing highly
- Thorough introduction to our exciting and diverse daily life with professional challenges and responsibilities, but where you never stand alone
- Focus on research and development, where there is an opportunity to influence the physiotherapeutic effort and engage in development work
- Positive expectations of you and management that prioritizes innovation, professional and personal development and well-being
Terms of employment
The position is 37 hours per week with start on December 1, 2026
Salary and terms of employment follow the collective agreement for non-supervisory staff in the Health Cartel area, entered into between the Health Cartel's parties, including Danish Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapy Association, and the Regions' Pay and Tariff Board.
