About the job
Do you want to be involved from the start in a further development of rehabilitation at a specialized level? You will be part of a specialized and interdisciplinary team where professionalism, structure and relationships go hand in hand.
You will primarily be attached to our children and youth area, where you will participate in specialized rehabilitation processes for children and young people. At the same time you will be part of a unit with a broad rehabilitation professional perspective that includes both children, young people and adults.
An workplace in exciting development
We are expanding in the physiotherapy area to fixed, full-time positions in our specialized neurorehabilitation department at Tagdækkervej. The positions are available for filling from December 1, 2026.
We are in the midst of an exciting development. In connection with the Health Reform, the specialized area is transferred from the municipality to the region as of January 1, 2027. This means you become part of an organization in change – with the opportunity to leave your professional mark, contribute to the development of specialized neurorehabilitation and be part of an important journey for citizens, employees and partners.
From January 1, 2027, Neurorehabilitation Central Denmark’s temporary rehabilitation beds will be renamed Regionshospital Hammel Neurocenter, Day Rehabilitation, Hammel, and thereby become part of Western Denmark’s highly specialized hospital in the field of neurorehabilitation. There will be 10 day and night rehabilitation beds distributed between children and adults, as well as a number of citizens who live at home and alternately come to Day Rehabilitation, Hammel to receive day rehabilitation and get rehabilitation at home.
Who are we?
We work with citizens after discharge from hospital, where the length of stay depends on each citizen's development potential – typically a program of around three months. In rehabilitation we work purposefully to ensure that the individual becomes active and participates in their future life based on their own resources, wishes and needs – and in close collaboration with the relatives.
Precisely the longer-term programs give us the opportunity to work deeply and holistically – not just with the injury, but with the whole person and the life the citizen will return to. We work purposefully with individual rehabilitation plans at a specialized level and have a focus on supporting citizens in becoming active participants in their own daily lives at activity and participation levels.
As part of a planned expansion of our offerings and an increase in the number of places, we are seeking you to join an already well-functioning and experienced staff group. You will become part of a dynamic, engaged and interdisciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social and health assistants, neuropsychologist, speech therapist and a chief physician. We work with individual rehabilitation plans at a specialized level and have a common focus on supporting citizens to become active participants in their own lives.
About the position
Your tasks will include assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of citizens with acquired brain injury, who may have physical and cognitive consequences after their brain injury. In addition, the multidisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration features heavily in tasks and in daily life.
Specifically you will among other things
- Plan and conduct physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of citizens with complex issues.
- Work with individual rehabilitation plans as well as neuro-pedagogy and closely follow citizens' development throughout the entire course.
- Engage in close multidisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration with colleagues, citizens and relatives.
- Contribute to the development of the specialized area in the transition to Regionshospital Hammel Neurocenter.
You should expect varying work hours, including weekend shifts. The extent will be agreed in connection with the duty roster.
About you
We are looking for physiotherapists who are
- Professionally engaged, curious and eager to work with people with acquired brain injury and complex issues in a rehabilitative daily life.
- Interested in, and preferably experienced with, neurorehabilitation as well as complex programs for children and young people. However, you should also expect to work with adult citizens during periods when there are fewer children and young people in rehabilitation programs.
- View neuro-pedagogical strategies as a natural part of the task.
- Have good collaboration skills, thrive in team-based work, seek sparring and value multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Be proactive and capable of planning and prioritizing your own tasks as well as the team’s tasks independently
- Communicate and convey clearly both orally and in writing and thrive in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
- Move seamlessly between monodisciplinary and multidisciplinary tasks, even when daily life requires quick shifts.
- Contribute actively to a good working environment together with your multidisciplinary colleagues.
You also preferably have a driver's license, but it is not a requirement, as part of rehabilitation also takes place in the citizen's own home.
What can you expect?
- A thorough introductory program with professional guidance, supervision and competence development in relevant tasks.
- A varied daily life with professional challenges and the opportunity to closely follow citizens' development.
- An workplace with a focus on quality, professionalism and evidence-based knowledge.
- A good working environment with psychological safety, engaged colleagues, good humor and room for togetherness.
