Do you want to work with some of Denmark's most specialized railway operations?

Banedanmark is seeking an escort/pilot for nationwide campaigns with rail-running contractor equipment, measurement trains and special vehicles. You will play a central role in planning and executing complex tasks across the country – close to operations, technology and safety.

If you have a locomotive driver certificate category A or B, experience as an A2-/A3-train controller, experience with rail-running equipment or route knowledge of Jutland and Funen, you may be the person we are looking for.

About the job

As an escort you will become part of a specialized professional group that works with accompaniment and coordination of rail-running contractor equipment during nationwide campaigns and special tasks on Banedanmark's infrastructure.

You will, among other things, work with measurement trains, ultrason ic measurement trains and rail milling machines. Contractor equipment, special material and other types of rail-running vehicles.

The work is performed across the country and requires safety awareness, an overview, and the ability to work independently in complex operational environments.

Working hours

The railway is in operation around the clock, so you should expect

• Rotating work hours
• Night, weekend and public holiday work
• Independent work over longer periods
• Up to 10 days away from the service location

You will be employed in Odense, Fredericia or Aarhus depending on your residence.

Who are you?

To be considered for the position, you must have a locomotive driver certificate category A or B. It is an advantage if you also have SR1 competence, A2-/A3-train controller qualification and route knowledge of Jutland and Funen.

It is advantageous if you have experience with

• Guiding rail-running equipment
• Working in track blockades
• Escort or companion roles
• ORS-/ORF-competences

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed under the applicable Danish Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisation – The Government Sector (OAO-S collective agreement) and the organizational agreement between Banedanmark and the Danish Railway Union.

The position is generally placed in salary grade 2 corresponding to a base salary excluding pension of 27,926.67 DKK per month according to the current collective agreement which you can find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating an additional allowance. The total salary will include an employer-funded pension scheme of 16%.
