Pipefitter and handyman for construction projects

We are looking for a pipefitter and a handyman with experience for our construction department at Forstas. With us you get a job with exciting projects at different locations and great freedom to plan your working week.

What will you do?

The tasks depend on the project and on whether you join as a pipefitter or a handyman. The tasks may include;

• Earth, sewer and drainage works
• Pipe laying and establishment of wells
• Supply and cable work
• Paving and other civil works
• Work on and near the road network
• Railway-related contracting work

One of our upcoming projects, which you will be part of, is the construction of a bike path in Central Jutland. In addition we have several ongoing and upcoming projects for which we need more skilled people.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience from the construction or civil engineering industry
• Has worked with tasks within earth, sewer, pipes, cables or utilities
• Takes responsibility and works independently
• Cooperates well with the rest of the team
• Arrives reliably and delivers a quality piece of work
• Is flexible when tasks and workdays vary
• Has a category B driving license

For the pipefitter job it is important that you have practical experience with pipe and conduit work. We highly value experience.

If you have the course "Vejen som arbejdsplads" (The Road as the Workplace), that is an advantage. Otherwise we will ensure you get it after your start.

You will be attached to our construction department in Fredericia, but will generally meet directly at the construction sites. Most tasks are located in Central and Southern Jutland, but there may also be projects elsewhere in Jutland and on Funen.

What does the construction department do?

Forsta’s construction department performs a wide range of civil engineering projects – especially for roads, rail and supply. Our own staff handle earth and sewer works, paving, platform work, cable projects, earth movement, stormwater basins and pedestrian tunnels. If needed we collaborate with subcontractors and obtain help from Forsta’s other departments.

We emphasise that everyone knows the project, the client's expectations and their own role in the task. This creates job satisfaction, a strong sense of belonging and good results.

The practical

The position is normally 37 hours per week. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, and we hire as soon as we have found the right employees .
