We are therefore looking for a academically strong and engaged town planner with knowledge of local planning and who is passionate about the development of the built environment, the green transition and for dialogue and involvement of the municipality's citizens.

The Planning Group leads many of the municipality’s development initiatives, and you will therefore have good opportunities to make your mark on Middelfart’s development. Local planning will be the focal point of your work, and you will follow the entire local planning process from the initial discussions to the final adoption.

In daily life you will work closely with colleagues in the department, other disciplines in the municipality as well as citizens and external actors. You will have responsibility and freedom to drive your own cases forward – with ongoing support and professional sparring from good colleagues. You will become part of a team that works closely together to create sustainable and well-functioning frameworks for citizens – today and in the future.

Your professional and personal profile

Education

• You have a relevant education in physical planning and a good knowledge of the Planning Act and environmental assessment area.

Professional competencies

• You are eager for a daily life where preparation of local plans and municipal plan amendments with associated environmental screenings and environmental reports constitute your primary task. Depending on your professional interests, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the department’s other tasks.
• You are good at achieving results through negotiation, collaboration and dialog with investors, developers and citizens
• You are a skilled project manager who can create progress in larger and often complex projects with many stakeholders, and who with a holistic approach collaborates with your professional colleagues across the organization.
• You have the willingness to manage planning processes from the initial dialogue to a final plan, and you are capable of constructive dialogue with citizens, developers and stakeholders in all stages of the planning process.

• You are professionally curious, ambitious and thrive on working with complex problems.
• You manage to join a professional and social community and contribute to the good working environment in the Planning Group
• You acknowledge the premise that planning is an interdisciplinary discipline and the art of compromise, and that we only reach our goals when we work together as a team.

• You are good at communicating in writing and orally in Danish, and if you have knowledge of working in a politically governed organization, this can be an advantage.
