About the job
Do you want to be part of a platform team that supports development teams in delivering solutions for the future digital energy market? As a platform developer, you will be part of a platform team that works with the latest Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. We are an agile, self-organizing team with Product Owner, Delivery Responsible and skilled platform developers, who experiment with data-driven goals and metrics to ensure that the necessary needs are delivered with the right quality.
”We value curiosity and see ourselves as a company that likes to experiment. We host a monthly innovation day in the team, where there is time to explore and test technologies that can develop our platform,” says department head, Morten Kjær Nicolaysen.
Join the development of the digital energy market
In the office in Fredericia you enter Energinet's DataHub company, which operates and further develops the future digital energy market. We create digital solutions and services with a focus on safe use of energy data and close collaboration with market participants. We have two fixed days a week when we meet at the office. On other days, it is possible to work from home.
Welcome to Platform and Architecture
You will become part of the Platform and Architecture department, which is responsible for architecture, platform and QA. We define, develop and operate technology and product platforms as well as architecture and QA frameworks used by development teams in DataHub.
The platform team develops and maintains our Data Engineering platform, which development teams use as a foundation to build specific business logic on top. The team is located centrally in the DataHub company and has a high degree of collaboration and communication with departments across Energinet.
”The team has an important task in supporting our development teams with professional sparring and best practices in cloud-based systems, e.g. choosing technology to solve concrete purposes and making the best possible use of the existing tooling,” elaborates Morten.
The platform is developed in Microsoft Azure, rolled out through fully automated CI/CD pipelines that build, test and deploy infrastructure-, .Net- and Python-components and applications to, among others, Databricks clusters. We work with technologies such as Terraform, GitHub Actions and shell scripting.
An important part of the job is also to share your knowledge and make development teams more self-reliant. With x-as-a-service as an interaction model you develop and publish, for example, Terraform modules for infrastructure, while facilitating collaboration and supporting organizational adoption of the platform's solutions.
”I place emphasis on you being motivated to make the developers, who are the users of the platform, more skilled and able to work more focused on their business area,” says Morten.
Collaborative software developer with platform experience
We are looking for a software developer with IT-relevant education at data engineer, bachelor or master level. Ideally you have a few years of experience with Platform Engineering. You have an interest in and focus on IT security, scaling of cloud systems, infrastructure, pipelines and containerization of workloads. We place emphasis on your ability and motivation to learn technologies – it is less important that you can check off the entire mentioned technology stack.
We particularly value that you
- have experience with software development or Platform Engineering
- are motivated to create the best possible framework for developers
- thrive in a facilitating role with many involved parties
- have worked with Scrum, Kanban or other agile ways of working
Would you like to help make a difference together with us?
Then we look forward to receiving your motivated CV no later than October 26. Go ahead and mark a couple of tentative dates in your calendar. We expect to hold the first interview online on November 3 and the second interview in Fredericia on November 10.

Special conditions: Since Energinet solves societally critical tasks, we perform a background check prior to employment. It is a condition for employment that your background check is compatible with employment at Energinet. The background check is also performed annually.
We see diversity as a strength and encourage all qualified individuals, regardless of background, to apply. We actively and purposefully work with diversity at Energinet and therefore encourage you to omit a photo, information about age, civil status and the like, to minimize unconscious biases in the process. You can read more about our diversity policy here.
You will become part of Energinet Datahub A/S, which is the electricity market's independent facilitator of competition, innovation and green services based on Denmark's only national dataset on consumption and production. The company operates and develops a range of IT services, including the DataHub system, Eloverblik and the upcoming Energidelingsportal.e.
