Søbo Nursing Home is looking for you who are passionate about working with vulnerable elderly – day shift and evening shift

I Bogense on Nordfyn, you will find Søbo Care Home. Søbo is a place where residents, relatives and employees want to be.

We are in the middle of an exciting expansion, where we get 9 new assisted living units and 3 respite places . Therefore we are seeking staff for day and evening shifts, who are passionate about working with vulnerable elderly people and have experience creating security, presence and quality of life.

Wellbeing and professionalism go hand in hand

At Søbo you come close to the residents and their daily life. We work person-centred and take the individual's life, wishes, habits and needs as our starting point.

We thrive on being curious about our work processes, each other and the individual person we are with. This means that we like to sit down, create calm and a homely atmosphere around the residents.

Everyday does not always go as planned, and sometimes it gets busy. Then we help each other. We step in when there is a need for an extra hand, and we find the solutions together.

We are a staff group that values each other’s wellbeing. Therefore there is also room at the breakfast table to say that you have a rough day. We all have them from time to time. With fixed weekend teams and a good culture around swapping shifts, we also try to make work-life and private life fit together.

We also prioritise the sense of community outside of the daily work. Each year we have a pool for social activities, where we can bond as colleagues. Most recently we have been on a tour at a bison farm and eaten delicious food together.

For us, it is about creating a good collegial environment, where we can collaborate in daily life and enjoy each other’s company a few times a year outside working hours.

We are fortunate to be enriched with 14 volunteers who bring life to the house, among other things by organising church services, bus trips, bingo and creative contributions.

You will have a leader who is close by

Your leader is Nina. She believes in trust, clarity and diversity.

She dares to set direction and make decisions, but she is also not afraid to roll up her sleeves or lighten the mood with a bit of humour.

If there is a hand missing, she is happy to step in so that we reach the goal together.

You are not joining a finished Søbo

We are in the middle of an expansion, and that means you don’t just come into something that is already finished and decided – you can help shape it.

We need your professional competencies – but we would also like to know what else you can do and want to do.

Who are you?

Are you trained as a social and health assistant/care worker, pedagogue, or perhaps something completely different that we hadn’t seen coming? Then we would very much like to hear from you!

We would like you to have 3-5 years of experience, but it is not a requirement. We are open to different professions and believe that the right competencies can come from many places.

You want to be part of our community and contribute to good collegiality – with room for humour, helpfulness and diversity.

You don’t need to be an expert in Nexus, but it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the system. And maybe you want to become our next Nexus nerd?

Information about the application process

Application deadline: Monday 26 October 2026, before 12.00

Interviews: Thursday 29 October 2026

Start date: preferably no later than 1 December or as soon as possible

Day shift: we can offer 37.00 hours with weekend shift every other weekend in even weeks

Evening shift: we can offer 28.00-30.00 hours with weekend shift every other weekend, even or odd weeks

Terms

Employment takes place in accordance with the applicable collective agreement entered into between KL and the relevant professional organization FOA.

A criminal record check must be obtained before employment can take place.

Expected salary range for social- and health assistants: 29,425 DKK – 35,312 DKK per month

The above is exclusive of employer-paid pension, flex contribution and holiday allowance. There may be additional individual and locally agreed allowances, qualification-, function- and generator allowances. The final salary setting takes place on the basis of your qualifications and prior work experience after concrete negotiation with the professional organization.
