About the job

Do you want to lead a nursing home full of life and traditions? A home characterized by experienced colleagues, strong communities and a shared desire to create a meaningful everyday life for the residents.

So here is a unique opportunity to become the leader at Strandmarkshave.

Our shared vision is to create a home where each resident experiences safety, dignity and self-determination. Together we support the residents' opportunities to master their own lives and live the life that is meaningful for the individual.

We are building on a strong foundation

For several years we have worked purposefully to develop a culture where the resident's self-determination, resources and quality of life are central. The implementation of the Elder Reform is therefore not the start of something new, but an important next step in the development journey we are already on.

With a focus on holistic care, rehabilitation, systematic triage and strong multidisciplinary teams we translate the reform's ambitions into practice. The goal is to create a home and a collaboration around the resident where professional quality, proximity and co-determination go hand in hand.

As a leader with us you will among other things have responsibility for

  • Retaining and further developing the nursing home's strong professional foundation, while ensuring efficient and sustainable operations
  • Drive the strategic development, organizational development, implementation of reforms and the continued development of the leadership community
  • Balance operations, development and financial management
  • Elevate the good quality work that has already been created in patient safety
  • Lead and develop the department head group and set direction for employees and department heads through clear and inclusive leadership
  • Engage in close collaboration with the centre manager, the political level and the municipality's other leaders

In addition, you will set the strategic direction and development for the nursing home through leading other leaders. You will also maintain the overall strategy and vision for the nursing home and ensure that the laws and the objectives set out in the Hvidovre Strategy are implemented in practice. You can read more about the Hvidovre Strategy here: Hvidovrestrategien

What do we offer you?

We are a house with high professionalism, where we prioritise ongoing competence development and provide room for relevant courses, further education and professional sparring.

To ensure a good start in the role you will be assigned a mentor and buddy system. In addition you will be connected with a leader colleague from another nursing home for ongoing sparring and knowledge sharing.

You will have a close collaboration with the centre manager Christel, to create good strategies for the area. Christel is an inclusive chief who is good at setting direction, is open and honest and values a good laugh, shared professional development and collaboration.

You will also become part of the Strategic Leadership Forum, where there is a strong focus on cross-collaboration across both centres and the municipality. In Health and Elder Care we work together on resident pathways to find the best solutions for the residents.

You will become the leader of 4 department heads and 1 kitchen manager, with a mix of both new and long-standing colleagues. We are a professionally strong group that look after each other and rise together.

Pia, department head, says

“The best thing about the job is that we are a house where everyone greets each other and are incredibly helpful and accommodating. Everyone knows who everyone is. The good thing about the job is the kindness and care we show each other.”
