About the job

We are looking for an experienced VVS professional who is passionate about creating coherence between the Danish Business Authority's technical authorizations and educational institutions and about translating professional knowledge and regulatory requirements into a constructive dialogue about the content and quality of education. You must have experience with small or larger gas installations, as you will work with a base in the gas team and have tasks in this area alongside your tasks in the education field.

The professional link to the VVS education

Our authorization team handles approval cases in the VVS and gas area and needs your knowledge of the authorization-granting VVS educations. You will become the team's professional sparring partner when we assess educational backgrounds in connection with approval as the professional responsible. A central part of the job is that you function as the liaison between the Danish Business Authority and educational institutions.

You should be eager to build relationships, create a constructive dialogue and contribute to education and the authority's requirements fitting well together. You will also be the person colleagues turn to with questions about whether a particular piece of work requires authorization.

A smaller part of your tasks will also be to acquaint yourself with overarching requirements in the sewer/drainage area so you can be a professional sparring partner in this area.

Do you want to be part of the journey toward a safe and green gas future?

In the gas team we go to work every day to ensure that Danish consumers and businesses can safely use gas at home, in the production line, or as part of the green transition. As part of the gas team you will guide advisers and VVS professionals on both existing and upcoming rules in the gas area and contribute to the team with your practical VVS expertise.

What will you do?

Collaboration and colleagues: You will have 10 engaged and technically skilled colleagues in the gas team. Your colleagues are ready for sparring in the area – both administrative and technical. Therefore it is fine if you do not know everything about the entire gas area, because we learn from each other.

Professional link to the education institutions: You become Danish Business Authority's central contact for the authorization-granting VVS educations. You build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, follow developments in the education area and contribute to a common understanding of the professional and regulatory requirements. If you do not have a background as an instructor, you may not know everything about the education area. That is okay – as long as you are ready to learn it.

Guidance and communication: You help companies and educational institutions understand and navigate the function-based legislation in the gas area and the authority's requirements for the authorization-granting educations. This requires you to conduct constructive dialogue and communicate professional requirements clearly and practically, both orally and in writing. You may also have the opportunity to present professional talks in person and digitally.

Professional sparring partner: You will be a professional sparring partner regarding VVS, gas and sewer for, among others, the authorization area. You must therefore be able to translate and convey your technical knowledge so that it is easy to understand for non-technical colleagues.

Who are you?

You are a trained VVS technician and have solid practical and technical experience from the VVS and gas area. It is an advantage if you hold an A- or B-certification and are familiar with the authorization-granting VVS educations. First and foremost, you must be passionate about being the link between the Danish Business Authority and educational institutions. You are motivated by building strong professional relationships, understanding different perspectives, and aligning regulatory requirements with education practices.

Good communication skills: You communicate clearly with colleagues and external customers and can present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner – also to other professional groups.

Proactive and solution-oriented: You see opportunities where others see challenges and act on them with enthusiasm and experience.

Civil servant and politically governed organization: If you have experience working in a public and politically governed organization as well as familiarity with the Public Administration Act and handling of authority cases, it is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important is your professional expertise and your commitment in the role as the professional link to education institutions.

Driving license: It is a requirement that you have a driving license, as activities may take place around Denmark. Cars are available at the Danish Business Authority.

You will be employed full-time under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant professional organization. The workplace is initially in Esbjerg, but if the right candidate is located further away, we can find a solution.
