About the job

Would you like to help develop strong learning environments and participation opportunities for all children?

In Holbæk Municipality, we are in the process of an exciting development of the effort for children in vulnerable positions. In recent years the early childhood sector has worked targeted to strengthen quality and ensure a consistent service level across the municipality's day care offerings. As part of this development, the resource effort was anchored in PPR in 2025.

At the same time we have shifted focus from individual-oriented support initiatives to group- and process-oriented interventions, where the development of learning environments, pedagogical practice and participation opportunities in the children's communities are the focal point.

As a PPR-pedagogue you will be part of an ambitious professional team, where we together with leaders and staff in day care work to ensure that all children experience belonging, participation, and development in communities.

About the initiative

The resource effort takes its starting point in Daycare Act § 4, subsection 2 and aims to strengthen day care centers' opportunities to create inclusive learning environments where all children can thrive, develop, learn and form.

As a PPR-pedagogue you work closely with practice and in collaboration with leaders and staff. Sometimes you support development through reflection and professional sparring, other times you actively participate in practice, test new approaches together with staff and show new courses of action in concrete situations. Therefore you must be able to move between leading, standing beside, and behind the staff depending on the task and the need.

We see children's behavior as meaningful and understandable in the context and communities they belong to. Therefore our work takes its starting point in a strong view of children, focusing on relationships, participation, and adults' importance for children's well-being, development and learning.

The goal is always that new knowledge, new experiences and developed ways of acting are anchored in the day care's everyday life, so they benefit all children.

Your tasks

As a PPR-pedagogue you will among other things

  • Support the development of inclusive learning environments and strong children’s communities
  • Actively participate in practice and contribute to the development of the pedagogical practice close to everyday life
  • Plan and implement development processes in collaboration with leaders and staff
  • Contribute with new knowledge and support the translation of professional perspectives into practice
  • Spar with leaders and staff about pedagogical challenges and development opportunities
  • Work closely with other professional groups in PPR on holistic interventions

Your profile

We imagine that you

  • Are a trained pedagogue
  • Would preferably have post- or further education in pedagogy, guidance, special pedagogy or similar
  • Have experience with development of pedagogical practice or a strong interest in the area
  • Have knowledge about children's well-being, development, learning and participation in communities
  • Have strong collaboration skills and meet children, staff and leaders with a resource-oriented approach
  • Can create trusting relationships and support professional reflections and development processes
  • Can balance between supporting, challenging and inspiring staff and leaders
  • Can work independently and at the same time contribute actively to the community in PPR

We offer

With us you will become part of a cross-disciplinary PPR organization with high professionalism, a strong collegial community and good opportunities for sparring and development.

We work from a shared professional foundation with a basis in the solution-focused approach and ICDP, which you will be well equipped to work from.

We place high priority on professional development, reflection and knowledge sharing and believe that we become more skilled through curiosity, shared learning and cross-professional collaboration.

You will have the opportunity to influence an initiative in ongoing development and be part of creating strong learning environments and participation opportunities for children in Holbæk Municipality's day care.

We are seeking a PPR-pedagogue for 37 hours. The position starts on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
