Practical warehouse manager for Klosterhedens Vildt A/S

Do you want to lead our warehouse as we take the step from paper to tablet?

Klosterhedens Vildt is one of Denmark's leading suppliers of game meat. We sell to private individuals and companies across the country, and the majority of our revenue comes from our own webshop. Growth is imposing new requirements on the warehouse — and therefore we are seeking a warehouse manager.

We are about to go live with electronic pick-and-pack using tablets and fixed locations. Our in-house developed IT platform is updated and ready. Now we need the person who will make it work in practice every single day.

Let us be clear from the outset: this is not an office job. You will be on the warehouse floor every day, your hands in the goods, and when the orders are piling up, you will pack. Tablet and the system are tools — not the workplace.

THIS WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

• The daily operation of the warehouse: goods receipt, picking, packing and shipping
• To implement the new pick-and-pack setup — location management and workflows on tablets
• To keep track of stock and locations so that data in the system and the reality on the shelf align
• Packing tasks on par with the rest of the team when it's busy
• Close collaboration with production so goods are shelved on time and in the right condition
• Counting, quality control and compliance with food and temperature requirements
• Sparring with management about what works and what needs to be adjusted in the platform

WE EXPECT THAT YOU

• Are structured and systematic — you like when things have a fixed place and a fixed routine
• Have experience from warehousing, preferably with picking tasks and warehouse management systems
• Are comfortable working digitally and not afraid to get to know a new system
• Can maintain overview and pace during peak seasonal periods
• Are not afraid to roll up your sleeves — you are on the floor, not behind a desk

Truck license is an advantage, but not a requirement — you can take it after you start. Experience from a food, refrigerated or cold storage warehouse is also a plus. The most important is that you are reliable, punctual, and want to take ownership.
