Pragmatic Team Leader for Digitalization in Varde Municipality

We are seeking a team leader for Digitalisation, who will help shape and drive shared principles for digitalisation in Varde Municipality. The principles should help the organisation navigate wisely in a technological development where opportunities are many, the pace is high and the need for clear choices only grows.

As team leader you will create an overview, support a strong professional team and contribute to turning digital possibilities into solutions that work in practice. In collaboration with the digitalisation team and the head of staff you set the direction for how we succeed with pragmatic digitalisation.

Helicopter perspective and hands on the stove

In an organisation with many ambitions and limited resources, an important part of the task is to lift the gaze and see the bigger perspective. At the same time you must be close to the daily tasks and understand everyday needs, so we do not digitalise for the sake of digitalisation.

You will have personnel management of seven employees. Your task will be to create structure, clear frameworks and good conditions for a team that works cross-disciplinary with everything from automation/development of solutions and project management to advisory and general support of digital changes out in the professional areas. At the same time you will support the collaboration with the decentralized digitalisation employees in the Job Centre and the Business Centre, so the digitalisation area becomes a shared organisational task.

• have experience with leadership or coordination of complex initiatives across disciplines
• can translate strategic ambitions into concrete priorities and actions
• have an understanding of digitalisation, technology and digital change – preferably from a politically governed organisation
• are good at building relationships, followership and clarity in collaboration with leaders, employees and partners
• thrive balancing development, operations, advisory and prioritisation in a everyday with many stakeholders

Digitalisation is located in an exciting place. Communication, Digitalisation and IT are gathered in a new staff unit, and you will be a sparring partner for the head of staff and professional coordinators in the work of developing the department and strengthening the interplay between digitalisation, information security, service desk, infrastructure and communication.

Together with the rest of the staff unit you will advise and service a large organisation with more than 4,000 employees.

Practical
