About the job

Do you want to be close to work with municipal health promotion and prevention? Are you interested in public health and eager to contribute to municipalities' work with implementing the upcoming Public Health Act? Then you now have the opportunity to do an internship in KL's Center for Prevention in Practice in spring 2027.

We are looking for an engaged intern who works in a structured way, is digitally strong and interested in the municipalities' work with evidence-based health promotion and prevention. If that sounds like you, you could be our new intern and perhaps subsequently student assistant.

About the position

You will become part of KL's Center for Prevention in Practice, which consists of five consultants and a team leader. The center supports municipalities' work to ensure quality and a solid knowledge base in prevention efforts.

As an intern you will be involved in the center's ongoing tasks with a particular focus on municipalities' implementation of the upcoming Public Health Act. You will be responsible for your own tasks with ongoing coaching from the center's consultants and a close insight into municipalities' prevention work.

Through the work you will learn to translate professional knowledge into practice-oriented communication and gain practical experience in disseminating information about prevention interventions and supporting municipalities through advice, presentations, conferences and theme days. At the same time you will gain experience with working in a politically led interest organization. The concrete tasks will include coordinating, communicating and supporting the center's activities and will be planned in dialogue with you based on your interests, competencies and learning goals.

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • Contribute to the center's work on implementing the upcoming Public Health Act.
  • Plan and run theme days, webinars and conferences together with the center's consultants.
  • Prepare content for newsletters and other dissemination materials.
  • Edit and maintain the center's website.
  • Manage registrations and participant communications in Conference Manager.
  • Support the center's other professional and organizational tasks.

About you

We are looking for an intern who is interested in municipalities' work with health promotion and prevention, and who thrives with both professional, digital and practical tasks.

We envision that you

  • Are pursuing a relevant higher education, for example public health science, health promotion, communications or similar, and have at least 1.5 years left of your studies.
  • Are interested in municipalities' work with health promotion and prevention.
  • Can express yourself clearly and concisely in writing.
  • Work in a structured way and have an eye for detail.
  • Are an experienced user of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Want to learn to work with website editing (Umbraco) and the registration system Conference Manager.
  • Are initiative-taking, team-oriented and thrive in a well-functioning team where you help each other and contribute actively.
