Job Description

Intern for Rambøll Management Consulting, Societal Impact & Policy

Aarhus, Denmark

Do you want to push the boundaries of your professional capacity and develop your talents in an open, collaborative and inclusive culture, while becoming part of our journey to create a globally leading advisory firm in sustainability and strategy?

If this sounds like you – or if you’re simply curious to hear more – then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join Rambøll Management Consulting, Societal Impact & Policy, as our new intern and help create a sustainable future.

Your new team

The Societal Impact & Policy team at Rambøll Management Consulting supports societal change by providing decision-makers and policy leads with strategic advice and solid data-driven insight. We deliver analysis, science mapping and evaluation, facilitate stakeholder involvement and develop policy and strategic planning for both public and private clients.

The team focuses on contributing positively to society, building resilience and promoting development in areas such as foundations, built environment, transport and energy, with topics like social sustainability, societal transformation, health, education and quality of life.

As an intern in Rambøll Management Consulting you will be part of a young and dynamic team at our locations in either Aarhus or Copenhagen, working on everything from policy and strategy development, sustainability, organizational development and business development to larger and smaller evaluations and analyses.

Interns contribute to projects involving data collection, stakeholder analyses, impact assessments and implementation plans, and gain practical experience with methods and tools that characterize modern consulting. Furthermore, we work across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, construction, industry, waste and water and advise municipalities, ministries, NGOs and private companies.

We deliver integrated solutions that combine deep sustainability knowledge with strategic insight and offer clients a single entry point to navigate complexity and create real change.

Your new role

  • You will contribute at all stages of the project solution, from planning and data collection, through data processing and analysis, to reporting and communicating results and solution models.
  • You will work with bid processes and development work – and thus gain broad insight into the consulting craft.
  • You will work with a wide range of social science analysis methods – from quantitative data analysis to qualitative and anthropological methods. We would like you to have an interest in working with new methods, using AI, etc.
  • You will become part of a dynamic and professionally inspiring colleague group, with room for diversity, a focus on learning and room for humor.

About you

From day one at Rambøll Management Consulting we will support your personal and professional development so you can continue to grow with us. We look forward to supporting your continued learning and to finding the right match, we have listed a number of qualifications and competencies that will give you the best prerequisites for success in this role:

  • You are currently pursuing or about to start a master's degree in a relevant field such as economics, political science, public health, sociology, anthropology, law, public administration, environmental studies or business administration.
  • You have strong academic results.
  • You have relevant professional experience from student jobs, internships or voluntary activities.
  • You work in a structured way and have strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
  • You think strategically, have a high degree of abstraction and can put yourself in the client’s shoes.
  • You can work independently, but also thrive in a team.
  • You have experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • You speak and write fluent Danish, which is a requirement due to our projects.
  • You are Danish or EU citizen. Applicants from countries outside the EU who do not already have a valid Danish residence permit cannot be considered, as the current case processing times for visas exceed the timeframe for starting the internship.
