Pre-school Angaju Kindergarten is seeking a deputy head

There is room for 40 children aged 4 to 6 years, distributed across three rooms.

Work and areas of responsibility

You shall be co-responsible for following Inatsisartutlaw no. 62 of 20 November 2023 on pedagogical development offerings to preschool children, and to work according to the political visions of Qeqqata Municipality, children- and youth policy and pedagogical objectives, which are detailed on the Qeqqata Municipality website.

Qualifications

• You are educated as a pedagogue or similar
• You can collaborate closely with the manager
• You can assume responsibility in the absence of the manager
• You are clear and can, when needed, set boundaries
• You are attentive to the environment in the house
• That you have knowledge of The Good Daycare Institution
• That you can converse with parents about children's development
• That you can plan and delegate tasks
• That you can create something new
• That you have an overview of tasks
• That you are stable/engaged in your work
• That you can work responsibly
• That you are positive/cheerful and approachable
• That you can speak Greenlandic and Danish
• That you have knowledge of operating IT/computers
• That you can be attentive to new initiatives
• That you have an appreciative pedagogical viewpoint
• That you can handle stressful situations
• That you are attentive to children with special needs
• That you have experience working with children
• That you value collaboration and are cooperative
• You are open to new initiatives, approachable
• That you are familiar with applicable rules, policies and laws

Criminal record and Child protection attest

This position is subject to the Act on the obligation to obtain criminal and child attest. In accordance with the act, the employment may only commence when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child attest. We must therefore note that the start date can only be agreed after the municipality has received the child attest from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

Child attest is obtained by the municipality with consent from the individual, where the criminal record is obtained by the individual for the Police.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) or another relevant bargaining organization.

Employment: January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

Employment will include a 3-month probationary period.
