We can offer you

• A 32-hour position in primarily evening shifts with 4 day shifts on a 12-week rotation.

There is an option for 37 hours. If desired, we will discuss this at the job interview

• Shift every 2nd or 3rd weekend depending on your preference
• Start no later than 1/12-26

The staff group at Østervang is broadly composed in terms of age, seniority and competences.

You will be assigned a mentor who ensures your training is in order and who will help you become part of Østervang.

We expect that you

• Are trained social and healthcare assistant or social- and health helper
• Would like to work with people with dementia, and have or will acquire the necessary competencies
• Preferably have experience with the care system Cura
• Know and comply with your competences
• Are empathetic, loyal and responsible, and contribute to a good working environment
• Are capable of good collaboration both mono- and interdisciplinary as well as with relatives and volunteers

Who are we

Østervang is a care center with room for 28 residents spread over 2 departments with 14 units each.

Generally, the target group for referral to Østervang is people who are particularly cognitively challenged. The majority who live with us are diagnosed with dementia or have symptoms thereof, but also people with psychiatric disorders or cognitive problems after brain hemorrhage or stroke are referred to Østervang.

We work from “Person-centered care,” and focus on ensuring the resident’s well-being as high as possible. The person-centered approach is our fundamental starting point for residents, relatives and colleagues alike.

We collaborate across disciplines and have therefore employed nurses, an occupational therapist, social- and health care assistants, social- and health care aides, students, home care workers, a nutrition professional, cleaning staff and a janitor.
