Proactive financial consultant for the specialized children and youth sector

In the Finance Department in the Children, School and Family Administration we are looking for a financial consultant who is passionate about strengthening and developing the financial management of the specialized children and youth area.

Do you have experience with financial management - preferably within the specialized children and youth area - and can you balance financial considerations with professional perspectives, then you are the one we are seeking.

About the job

We are looking for a financial management consultant who is proactive, can approach the finances and activity data analytically, and at the same time can take the role of a clear and professionally strong sparring partner who dares to challenge and qualify decisions.

As a financial management consultant in the specialized children and youth area you will as a starting point have responsibility for the following tasks:

• Financial conversations with child and youth advisors, primarily in Child Disability
• Administrative tasks in various professional systems
• Key figures and financial overview for the Family area
• Analyses in the specialized children and youth area
• Development of management information to support financial management and the professional governance of the area

Depending on your profile and which tasks motivate you, you will also have other tasks.

You will become part of Team Family. The team supports the Head of Family and the entire family area.

The family area includes Family Counseling, Day Family Center, 24-hour Family Center, Dental Service and Health Service.

The team consists of five staff members plus a department head, and the team is responsible for tasks such as budgeting, budget follow-up, supporting capacity management, handling the payout of lost earnings, analyses and many other tasks.

In the team, tasks are continuously distributed to best support the area with financial management and optimization of administrative tasks.

Similarly, in the Finance Department we focus on ensuring that at least two employees know the tasks. This means we continually learn new tasks, so there is an expectation that we are all ready to learn.

About you

We emphasize that you

• Have a municipal and/or higher education degree with experience in financial management in the public sector – ideally within the specialized children and youth area.
• Are skilled at communicating in writing and speaking to several different levels, so complex issues are conveyed in an understandable way.
• Find it easy to take responsibility and work independently and solution-oriented.
• Have a sense of humor and can contribute to a good working environment.

About us

The Finance Department in the Children, School and Family Administration is a staff function that supports the administration's heads of profession and the entire organization. It requires us to be accessible, listening and service-oriented in the role.

We are 17 employees, one department head and one chief financial officer.

The department is divided into four teams that solve financial and administrative tasks

• Team School and Daycare
• Team Digitalisation, Analysis and GDPR
• Team Family
• Team PLT

We are a department with an informal tone, where we help each other and focus on constructive inputs to each other's tasks. It should be enjoyable to go to work, but we are equally dedicated to task solving.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the current collective agreement. The salary will be determined according to local salary formation principles based on the position's functions and the applicants' qualifications.

There is a permanent position of 37 hours. Workplace is Nicolaiplads 6, 6000 Kolding.
