Then you may be one of the people we are looking for.
Contribute to the development of user-friendly customs systems
In the Office of Business Development we support the entire Tax Administration in IT matters. We are responsible for representing the business needs with regard to development and operation in IT and process areas, and at the same time we manage portfolio governance and strategy development. In addition, we are responsible for developing data products and supporting local data work at the agency's locations across the country.
We are seeking process owners who can also take on the role of business project manager and work closely with both the business, IT suppliers and other stakeholders.
Your tasks will include, among other things

- identify and drive optimization initiatives in collaboration with the business
- act as business project manager in IT development projects and be a guarantor of a strong business perspective
- mature IT initiatives, including ensuring clear decision foundations for the agency's management

Our office consists of three teams with a total of 35 employees, a head of office, a functional manager and two deputy heads. You will become part of the IT development and IT operations team, where we mainly work with processes and IT systems. The team consists of one functional manager and ten employees.

Independent and development-oriented with good collaboration skills
We envisage that you have an academic degree such as cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.oecon. or cand.it, and that you have experience with larger IT projects and have acted as, for example, process owner, project manager or business analyst in a politically governed organization. It is important that you have an interest in complex processes and IT systems and are motivated to optimize and maintain both.
In addition, we would like you to
- able to plan, drive and execute initiatives independently
- have good business and IT understanding

The EU is reforming customs
In spring 2026, the EU reached an agreement on the customs reform. The reform represents the largest transformation in the customs area since the formation of the EU Customs Union in 1968, and entails significant changes for customs processing, customs systems and the use of data. The transformation is necessary due to changed trade patterns and a new security-political reality and should help strengthen societal security while trade across borders can continue as efficiently as possible.
The implementation of the reform runs up to 2034, but the first elements come into force already in 2026 and will increase the tasks for the Tax Administration. The reform will therefore shape development work in the coming years.
We support an international societal task
The Tax Administration has about 800 employees distributed across the country. We come with very different backgrounds and areas of expertise – but we are all driven to participate in an important task, and we are proud of the results we create. In the staff we work every day ambitiously to support the agency's core tasks, and we collaborate across the entire organization on constructive solutions.
If you want to collaborate with engaged colleagues and be part of solving an international task that creates value for Denmark and safeguards Danish society, then the Tax Administration is for you. Together we create opportunities across borders.
In Business Development you will be part of an office with many different professions and perspectives, where sparring, knowledge sharing and collaboration are a natural part of daily life. We also stress a good social and inclusive community, an informal tone, and high ceilings.
