As a purchasing apprentice at BESTSELLER, we ensure that you get off to a good start and develop yourself both personally and professionally. Here you undertake a practically oriented education that spans two years. You will be attached to a specific product group in a purchasing team at one of our brands, where the practical part of your apprentice education takes place.

In parallel with the job at one of our brands you will, together with our other purchasing apprentices, go through nine modules of one week each with theoretical training. Here you have the opportunity to become skilled in areas such as purchasing, product knowledge, merchandise supply & planning, space management, international trade, etc.

A day-to-day life with exciting purchasing tasks and dedicated colleagues

The apprenticeship is a good stepping stone to further career progression, and if you are among the best apprentices, the path is paved for your career at BESTSELLER. During your training you will gradually take on more responsibility and more autonomous areas of work, where you will participate on an equal footing with your other colleagues. At the same time you will go on a one-week field trip to Turkey, where we visit two different suppliers and the focus will be on product knowledge and cultural understanding.

In parallel with the modules, there is an academic-level course; Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The course ends with a separate examination at academic level. Here you earn 10 ECTS credits.

Your tasks may include

• Daily support and contact with BESTSELLER's international suppliers and purchasing offices
• Preparation of purchase orders
• Participation in the launch of new clothing collections
• Act as back-up for the buyers in the department
• Various administrative tasks in the purchasing department

To be considered as a purchasing apprentice you must

• Completed a qualifying upper-secondary education
• Good English skills in both writing and speaking
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• A flair for numbers and good communication skills
• A desire to develop an international contact network with independent responsibility
• Interest in and awareness of the latest trends and tendencies in the fashion world
• A personality that has a positive influence on your surroundings

Recruitment process

We process applications and hire purchasing apprentices on an ongoing basis. Incoming applications will be screened centrally in HR, after which managers from BESTSELLER's purchasing departments will call for interviews and hire. The recruitment process can take up to 2-3 months.

Remember to enclose exam papers from your upper secondary education.
