Procurement Specialist for NGI

Would you like to help set the direction for procurement in an international industrial company – and work strategically with suppliers, prices and product categories? Then you might be the one we are looking for at NGI. On behalf of NGI we are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist who will take a central role in maintaining and further developing the company's strong Supply Chain.

Here you will have responsibility for your own suppliers and product areas and become an important player in ensuring the right prices, deliveries and long-term collaborations. You will report directly to the Chief Production Officer and thus have a role close to both the operational business and the decisions that set the direction for Supply Chain.

NGI has for many years built close relationships with its key suppliers. This has created a strong foundation that you will be responsible for building on. The role is therefore not only about purchasing, but to a large extent about developing supplier collaboration, thinking long-term and translating the company's needs into a strong purchasing strategy.

You get the suppliers very close As Procurement Specialist you will have an outward-facing role with extensive contact surface and significant independent responsibility. You will work tactically with your suppliers and follow the market, prices and developments within your product categories.

You must be able to challenge, negotiate and set requirements – but at the same time understand the value of long-term relationships. The goal is not necessarily the cheapest solution here and now, but to ensure NGI the right suppliers, competitive terms and a robust Supply Chain in the longer term.

You will among other things work with

• Development and maintenance of long-term supplier relationships
• Follow-up on and development of existing framework agreements
• Price negotiations, price adjustments and ongoing commercial dialogue
• Strategic considerations regarding suppliers and product categories
• Follow-up on supplier performance, delays, deviations and complaints
• Pricing and introduction of new goods in close cooperation with Sales, Technical Department and R&D
• Assessment and optimization of reorder points within your product areas
• Contribute to ongoing development and optimization of purchasing processes and Supply Chain

You will continue to have touch with the operational part of purchasing and among other things follow up on orders, planning needs and master data. The emphasis of the role, however, lies in tactical procurement, supplier collaboration and long-term development.

You understand what you buy To succeed in the role it is important that you have a good understanding of technical procurement. It is a clear advantage if you have experience with procurement of machined steel parts – for example CNC-machined, laser-cut and folded components – and you understand the relationship between price, quality, delivery and production.

At the same time you are used to working with bills of materials and procurement for finished goods consisting of several different components. Your experience thus extends beyond classic planning and procurement of standard and shelves items.

Who are you? You are a merchant with technical understanding and strong relational skills. You thrive in negotiations, but also know that the best supplier collaborations are created through trust, clarity and long-term thinking.
