About the job

Production Manager for Formulation, Filling and Sterilization

Do you have a heart for production, and are you driven by leadership? These are the two most important elements in the role of production manager. It is they that ensure we deliver life-saving vaccines from our Drug Product factory, and that employees thrive.

As a production manager, you will be part of a management team of five people at the factory in Kvistgård and report to the Director, Drug Product.

You share the management responsibility with another production manager for a total of 35 operators, including team coordinators. The department handles formulation, filling as well as washing and sterilization. The team works on day, evening and night shifts Monday to Thursday and on day shifts on Friday.

We expect that you as a leader are also present during evening shifts and occasionally during night shifts, so you are close to the entire team and the overall operation.

The production runs Monday to Thursday on day shift 07:00-15:00, evening shift 14:00-23:00 and night shift 22:30-07:30. On Friday, production runs on day shift 07:00-14:30.

Role and responsibilities

As a production manager, your most important task is to ensure that everyday operations run stably and that we achieve our Drug Product targets. You plan the production, allocate resources wisely and, together with the team coordinators, keep track of the work rosters. When obstacles arise, you act quickly and find lasting solutions.

You will be a catalyst for our Lean journey, where we continuously work to optimize processes and create even better flow in production. You support new initiatives, participate in cross-functional collaboration and contribute when we need to solve challenges or develop our processes.

You thrive when you are close to the operation, know the details and ensure that SOPs and instructions are followed. You actively use data as a tool to improve and develop production in daily operations.

As a leader you ensure that your team is well equipped – both technically and in terms of people. You set direction, create clarity about roles and tasks and promote a culture where we work according to GMP (GxP) and Lean principles.

You hold regular 1:1s, give sparring and create a safe space where everyone is heard. Your leadership helps ensure stable operations, high quality and a good working environment where everyone knows how they contribute to shared success.

Your background

You have an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, Pharmacy or a related field. You have at least 10 years of experience with different production processes – preferably in an aseptic production environment. You have solid experience with handling deviations and Change Requests and in-depth knowledge of quality systems.

You understand the business as a whole, can collaborate across cultures and interact effortlessly at all levels of the organization. In addition, you are a strong communicator who thrives on guiding, motivating and developing others. Last but not least, you have stakeholder management skills to the fingertips.

Why choose this position?

In this role you get a rare opportunity to combine strong professional expertise with real leadership influence. In close collaboration with your fellow manager, you lead a dedicated team and help ensure that our vaccines reach people and save lives — every day. At the same time, you are a key player in our Lean journey and in the numerous improvement projects shaping the future of production.

You get both responsibility, influence and plenty of sparring to grow as a leader in a company where you can see the impact of your efforts — for the team, for the business and for the people we are here to protect.
