Production Technician

Do you want to help build and optimize production at a completely new Danish factory?

We are looking for an analytical and solution-oriented production technician for our small caliber production, who will help develop, optimize and standardize our production processes. You will play a central role in creating efficient, stable and well-documented workflows with a focus on quality, safety and productivity.

You will become part of Nammo Denmark A/S in Elling, where you will have the opportunity to shape the setup of our production and contribute to translating technical solutions into concrete improvements.

Your role

You report to the Production Manager or the relevant functional head and work closely with production, maintenance, quality, automation and other technical functions.

Your day-to-day work includes analyzing production processes, identifying bottlenecks, solving technical challenges and implementing improvements. You contribute to the industrialization of new processes, implementation of production equipment and development of technical documentation, layouts and work instructions.

You also play an important role in ensuring that technical changes are properly documented and that new working methods are implemented and anchored in the organization. At the same time you collaborate with relevant technical functions in the Nammo group to build knowledge and transfer production methods to the Danish plant.

In the first months you should expect a fair amount of travel on weekdays related to training, knowledge sharing and introduction to the group’s production methods.

Travel activity related to training

In the first months of employment you should expect considerable travel activity, as training and knowledge transfer will primarily take place at Nammo’s sites in Sweden and Norway. The travels are to ensure you gain the necessary insight, training and experience to perform your role at Nammo Denmark A/S.

Your primary tasks

Production-technical development and process optimization

• Analyze, develop and optimize production processes and workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks, process deviations and causes of production disturbances.
• Prepare and implement improvement proposals with a focus on quality, productivity and resource utilization.
• Apply Lean, 5S and standardized working methods.
• Follow up on the impact of implemented improvements.

Industrialization and implementation

• Participate in the industrialization of new products and production processes.
• Assist with prototype and pre-series production.
• Contribute to selection, specification and implementation of production equipment.
• Support commissioning and optimization of new processes.
• Collaborate with product development and relevant technical functions in the Nammo group.

Technical documentation and working methods

• Prepare and update work instructions, process descriptions and production standards.
• Maintain production-related drawings, layouts and technical basis.
• Develop and adapt simpler tools, fixtures and technical aids.
• Optimize the workspace layout with a focus on ergonomics, safety and efficiency.
• Ensure correct documentation, version control and communication of process changes.

Technical support and cross-functional collaboration

• Provide technical support to production, maintenance and quality.
• Participate in solving problems with technical challenges and production disturbances.
• Identify and prevent recurring faults.
• Coordinate technical activities with relevant internal functions and external partners.
• Contribute to safe and efficient working methods across the organization.

Production data and IT systems

• Support the implementation and use of production-related IT systems, e.g. MES, OEE and MIS.
• Analyze production data and use the results to identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to correct data quality and relevant reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and system owners on production-related system needs.

Improvement projects and competence development

• Lead or coordinate smaller technical projects and improvement activities.
• Plan and follow up on technical initiatives and agreed milestones.
• Share knowledge and experiences with colleagues and relevant functions in the Nammo group.
• Contribute to standardization of production-technical methods.
• Support the development of technical competencies in Nammo Denmark.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant technical higher education in production technology, mechanical engineering or a similar technical field. Corresponding competencies gained through long-term relevant work experience may also be a good starting point.

You have solid experience with production-technical work and preferably with analysis and optimization of production processes. Experience with Lean, 5S, CAD, technical documentation and industrialization of new processes is an advantage. The same goes for knowledge of production-related IT systems and project management.

You are good at combining technical analysis with practical problem solving and follow your tasks through to completion. You thrive working independently, but you also know that the best solutions are often created in collaboration with production and other professional functions.
