About the job

Do you want to work with negotiation, advisory work and finding good solutions for our members?

Can you build good relations, conduct constructive negotiations and find solutions that make a difference for our members?

Are you keen to work closely with workplaces, support elected representatives and contribute to developing the future professional community?

Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.

HK South Jutland seeks a professional consultant for the municipal and regional labour market

We have to say goodbye to an experienced colleague, and therefore we are looking for someone who wants to help negotiate, advise and find good solutions for our members at the municipal and regional workplaces.

A job with professionalism, influence and people

As a professional consultant you will have a varied daily life with close contact to members, shop stewards, safety representatives, managers and partners.

You will visit workplaces, participate in meetings and negotiations and help find solutions to both concrete problems and larger professional challenges. You will also become part of an engaged team where we share knowledge, consult with each other and raise tasks together.

Your main tasks will be

  • Negotiate and advise on matters concerning wage agreements, deals, salary and employment terms as well as trade-union and legal questions.
  • Advise and support shop stewards and safety representatives in their daily work.
  • Handle professional cases and help members navigate rules, agreements and concrete challenges.
  • Strengthen the organization and develop the professional community at the workplaces.
  • Work with politically adopted initiatives and translate the organization's goals into concrete results.

You should be prepared that part of the work takes place at the workplaces, and that meetings and negotiations sometimes take place after 4 pm. There will also be days of case processing, preparation and administrative tasks at the office in Kolding.

Who are you?

We envisage that you have solid professional expertise, good teamwork skills and a desire to make a difference for others.

We particularly emphasise that you

  • Have experience with negotiations and be able to give concrete examples of results you have helped to achieve.
  • Have knowledge of municipal and/or regional collective agreements.
  • Are good at building relationships and thrive on being proactive in your work.
  • Can communicate with many different people – from the new office trainee to the experienced shop steward and HR manager.
  • Thrives with both administrative tasks and concrete member cases and works in a structured way so you keep an overview – even when many balls are in the air.
  • Can work independently and at the same time actively contribute to collaboration with colleagues, elected representatives, the political system and external partners.
  • Are committed, flexible and approachable and want to work in a politically governed organization.

You do not need to know everything from day one. The most important is that you have the relevant professional foundation, the desire to learn and the courage to take responsibility.

What do you get with us?

We want you to succeed in the job – and enjoy it.

Therefore we offer

  • Freedom with responsibility: Great influence on how you plan and structure your work day.
  • Professional development: Thorough training, relevant education and ongoing sparring.
  • Skilled colleagues: An engaged team where we share knowledge, help each other and find solutions together.
  • A meaningful job: Opportunity to make a concrete difference to members' pay, working conditions and influence at the workplace.
  • A varied everyday: A combination of negotiations, advisory work, member cases, organizational work, professional deepening and administrative tasks.

We believe that the best results are created when the individual is given room to take responsibility, and at the same time we use each other 4s skills.

Employment terms

The position is based at our office at Jupitervej 1 in Kolding. However, you should expect a lot of meeting activity across the HK South Jutland geographic area. Therefore, it is necessary that you have a driver's license and a car available. Working hours are not fixed, as meetings and negotiations are adapted to the needs of the workplaces. You should therefore be prepared that the work sometimes takes place outside normal working hours.

Lý on and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement. We offer employer-paid pension, holiday pay and a flexible benefit account at an attractive level. The starting salary is at pay grade 37, which amounts to 36,190.08 DKK per month with the possibility to negotiate a qualification-based salary.
