About the job

Focus is seeking a pedagogue as a professional development employee with a longing to help develop sheltered employment?

One of our long-time colleagues has chosen to retire, and we are therefore now seeking a successor to be part of the development of the ”Focus” (sheltered employment), which starts on January 1, 2027.

We are looking for a pedagogue who is passionate about creating development, well-being, and meaningful work communities together with citizens with different prerequisites. You should be a person who naturally builds relationships, spreads energy around you, and thrives in a daily life with many human contacts. At the same time, we are looking for a colleague who wants to actively contribute to the professional development of our offering and be a partner in the exciting change process we are in the middle of.

A portion of the working time is allocated to development work, where you will translate ideas into practice and facilitate processes that support both the citizens’ opportunities and the professional development of the offering across addresses.

The position is permanently distributed across two sites (Violvej 2A and H. C. Ørstedsvej 1), and it is important that you see opportunities to collaborate across and actively contribute to the community at both places and across sites.

We therefore seek a pedagogue who is strong in their professional field, curious about new ways, and eager to help set direction together with colleagues, citizens and management.

We believe that

  • all people have resources and potential that can be put to use through meaningful employment.
  • relationships, presence, and community are decisive for citizens’ well-being and development.
  • work joy is contagious and created together.
  • shared responsibility for the workplace creates engagement, ownership, and professional development.
  • diversity among staff and citizens is a strength.
  • practical tasks can create pride, learning, and experiences of success.

About us

We are in the midst of an extensive developmental process focusing on future sheltered employment across the social department. Therefore, we want a colleague who both wants to work closely with citizens in everyday life and who can contribute to developing our offering in collaboration with colleagues, management, citizens, and partners.

Sheltered Employment offers meaningful work communities for citizens with significant and permanent reduced physical and/or mental functional capacity.

We work from a rehabilitative and recovery-oriented approach, where citizens’ wishes, resources, and dreams of a working life are the central focus of the effort. Citizens participate in various tasks, where the focus is on developing competencies, community, independence, and the experience of being a meaningful part of a work community.

Your tasks

Together with the citizens and your colleagues you will among other things be working with

  • assembly and packaging tasks.
  • production and handling of firewood.
  • operation and care of the greenhouse.
  • sowing, planting and care of plants.
  • maintenance of outdoor areas.
  • practical service and workshop tasks.

The goal is not only to solve the tasks but also to create participation opportunities, motivation, and experiences of success together with the citizens.

No one can do everything, but we hope you can say yes to much of the following

  • You are outgoing and thrive in your relationships with other people.
  • You are good at creating contact, motivation, and job satisfaction.
  • You are a professional lighthouse with a professional approach.
  • You have experience with documentation and collaboration with authorities and external actors.
  • You have a green thumb and interest in greenhouse, plants and outdoor activities.
  • You have practical hands-on skills and can translate ideas into action.
  • You are structured and can create safe and predictable frames.
  • You can see opportunities rather than limitations.
  • You work with an appreciative and respectful attitude.
  • You thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration across sites.
  • You actively want to contribute to the development of our employment offer.
  • You hold a driving license.

We offer

  • A workplace in development with strong commitment.
  • Skilled and helpful colleagues and citizens.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of sheltered employment.
  • A workplace focused on well-being, community, and job joy.
  • Opportunities for professional development and competence development.
  • A workplace where we take care of each other and lift together.

We particularly emphasize

That you are a visible and engaged employee who is motivated by being with people. You should be able to see yourself in a daily life where relationships, humor, practical tasks, and citizens’ development go hand in hand.

We are not only looking for a pedagogue with professional knowledge or practical skills. We are looking for a colleague who can translate their competencies into meaningful activities and work communities for the citizens.

At the same time, we seek a professional driving force who would like to help develop the future sheltered employment at Focus and who naturally takes shared responsibility to facilitate development, reflection, and collaboration.
