About the job
Fokus is seeking a pedagogue as a professional development officer with a desire to help develop sheltered employment?
One of our long-standing colleagues has chosen to retire, and therefore we are now looking for a successor to be part of the development of "Fokus" (sheltered employment), which starts on January 1, 2027.
We are looking for a pedagogue who is passionate about creating development, well-being and meaningful work communities together with citizens with different prerequisites. You should be a person who naturally builds relationships, radiates energy around you and thrives in a daily life with many human contacts. At the same time, we are looking for a colleague who wants to actively contribute to the professional development of our offering and be a playmaker in the exciting change process we are in the middle of.
A portion of the working time is set aside for development work, where you will translate ideas into practice and facilitate processes that support both the citizens' opportunities and the professional development of the offering across addresses.
The position is fixedly distributed across two sites (Violet road 2A and H. C. Ørstedsvej 1), and it is important that you see opportunities in collaborating across and actively contributing to the community at both locations and across.
We are therefore looking for a pedagogue who stands strong in their professional area, is curious about new paths and wants to contribute to setting the direction together with colleagues, citizens and management.
We believe that
- all people have resources and potentials that can be brought into play through meaningful employment.
- relationships, presence and community are decisive for the citizens' well-being and development.
- work joy is contagious and created together.
- shared responsibility for the workplace creates engagement, ownership and professional development.
- diversity among employees and citizens is a strength.
- practical tasks can create pride, learning and success experiences.
About us
We are in the middle of an extensive development process with a focus on the future of sheltered employment across the social department. Therefore we want a colleague who both wants to work closely with the citizens in daily life and who can contribute to developing our offerings in collaboration with colleagues, management, citizens and partners.
Sheltered Employment offers meaningful work communities for citizens with significant and permanent physical and/or mental functional impairments.
We work from a rehabilitative and recovery-oriented approach, where the citizens' wishes, resources and dreams about working life are the central focus of the effort. Citizens participate in various tasks, where the focus is on developing competences, community, independence and the experience of being a meaningful part of a work community.
Your tasks
Together with the citizens and your colleagues you will, among other things, work on
- assembly and packaging tasks.
- production and handling of firewood.
- operation and care of the greenhouse.
- sowing, planting and care of plants.
- maintenance of outdoor areas.
- practical service and workshop tasks.
The task is not only to solve the work tasks, but to a large extent also to create participation opportunities, motivation and experiences of success together with the citizens.
Not everyone can do everything, but we hope you can say yes to much of the following
- You are outgoing and thrive in relationships with other people.
- You are good at creating contact, motivation and job satisfaction.
- You are a professional beacon with a professional approach.
- You have experience with documentation and collaboration with authorities and external actors.
- You have green fingers and an interest in the greenhouse, plants and outdoor activities.
- You have practical handiwork and can translate ideas into action.
- You are structured and can create safe and predictable frames.
- You can see opportunities rather than limitations.
- You work in an appreciative and respectful manner.
- You thrive with collaboration across professional groups and sites.
- You actively want to contribute to the development of our employment offer.
- You have a driver's license.
We offer
- An evolving workplace with great engagement.
- Skilled and helpful colleagues and citizens.
- The opportunity to influence the development of sheltered employment.
- A workplace focused on well-being, community and job satisfaction.
- Opportunities for professional development and competence development.
- A workplace where we care for each other and lift together.
We especially value
That you are a visible and engaged employee, motivated by being with people. You should be able to see yourself in a daily life where relationships, humor, practical tasks and citizens' development go hand in hand.
We are not only looking for a pedagogue with professional knowledge or practical skills. We are looking for a colleague who can translate their competences into meaningful activities and work communities for the citizens.
At the same time we are looking for a professional driving force who wants to help develop the future sheltered employment at Fokus and who naturally takes shared responsibility to facilitate development, reflection and collaboration.
Application deadline
The deadline is Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 12:00, and we expect to hold interviews on Monday, November 16, 2026 and Wednesday, November 25, 2026.
Expected start January 1, 2027, first day of work will be January 4, 2027.
