We work in the middle grades in year-group teams, which meet once a week, and where both teachers and pedagogues from our after-school center participate, and we place a high value on collaboration around the classes and the students' learning, well-being and academic achievement.

We also work in subject teams at the school, where we brainstorm and develop across year groups and, together, lay the common thread for the subjects at the school.

We cherish collegial collaboration and community, and we are looking for you who have strong collaboration skills, and who will contribute with openness and engagement to this community.

A bit about us at Bakkegårdsskolen

At Bakkegårdsskolen we are known for having many employees who stay for many years – and there is a reason for that.

We have a strong and close collaboration between teachers and pedagogues. We also prioritize the social between all school teachers and pedagogues: Shared lunch once a month and both a summer party and a Christmas lunch arranged alternately by the departments. There are a number of staff-organized Friday bars during the year, and we participate in DHL relay and the annual volleyball tournament together with the other schools.

We are Gentofte Municipality's sports school and have 730 students spread over three tracks. Our students have extra PE hours and the opportunity to participate in the talent program in the upper school. In addition, we emphasize:

A bit about the practicalities

• There is talk of a full-time position, but if you require reduced hours, that is also possible – the most important is that you can cover nature/technology in four to five classes.
• The application deadline is Friday 23/10 at 8:00
• We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and no later than in week 44.
• Start date is 1/12 or as soon as possible thereafter.
• You must be a qualified teacher with a major in nature/technology
• The most important is that you want to work with both students and colleagues
