Professionally engaged educational worker sought for a 2:1 assignment at an autism residential facility near Herning

We are seeking a pedagogical staff member who has experience with and an interest in working with residents who self-harm and display outwardly aggressive behavior

We are looking for you who want to help take responsibility for creating clear frameworks and stability for residents with complex challenges. The specific resident we are hiring for this time lives in their own home under §108 and receives individual support with a 2:1 ratio, and you can expect long onboarding meetings, typically 14 hours in duration. This ensures a close and targeted effort, where you as an employee have both responsibility and scope to apply your professional expertise.

The resident has previously faced major challenges with self-harm and outwardly aggressive behavior, but we also see through the structured pedagogical work we have done together with the resident that these instances are on a downward trend. Therefore we also need you who with clarity, structure and compassion can help continue the resident's positive development. You will therefore work purposefully with structures and clear methods to prevent inappropriate behavior by the resident and create stability in daily life.

It is important to us that you are well prepared for the task, so you can expect 5 introductions with the resident to begin with, and you can also expect to conduct onboarding meetings with other residents at the home.

We expect that you have

• a relevant pedagogical or health-professional education – such as pedagogue, pedagogical assistant, teacher, social worker, occupational and physiotherapist, SOSU assistant, nurse (must have an interest in the pedagogical work)
• knowledge of autism, TEACCH and working with people with mental health challenges
• a professionalism that enables you to keep an overview and make decisions under pressure
• a high degree of integrity, honesty, and willingness to take responsibility
• a desire to work in a workplace where two days are never the same
• willingness to tackle complex professional tasks and develop your competencies in practice
• driving license category B
