We are seeking a project developer who will help lift complex urban development projects as we develop areas for both housing and business.

What does the job involve?

You will work closely with colleagues, technical and strategic advisors and various relevant authorities. In your role as project developer you will represent the municipality's landowner interests in connection with project development, planning and construction development, and be the formal client in the local plan process. You will also be able to contribute to your colleagues' tendering and sale of land.

Your areas of responsibility will include

  • Project and process management
  • Project development
  • Represent the municipality's landowner interests in local plan processes
  • Regulatory dialogue
  • Budget control

Your profile

We are looking for a colleague who is sharp, curious, enthusiastic and eager to explore and challenge. Together we shall develop new urban areas, drive project work and make a difference in the city's development. Therefore, good collaboration skills and the ability to handle multiple parallel tasks are necessary. The position requires a cooperative and solution-oriented profile with professional impact when challenges must be addressed.

It is essential for the role that you are good at building relationships and ensuring a good and healthy collaboration in cross-disciplinary projects.

In addition we would like to see

  • You have experience with municipal planning practice and an understanding of political processes
  • You are analytical, have an overview and strategic sense.
  • You have a relevant educational background, e.g. as an architect, engineer, lawyer or urban planner, and have a pronounced understanding of what constitutes a good city.
  • You are keen to, among good colleagues, work under a high degree of self-leadership and possess the necessary level of self-discipline and structure required to reach goals.
  • You are eager to work in a political organization.
  • You have commercial and market understanding.

We offer

We offer an exciting, varied and challenging job in an informal environment where what you achieve makes a real difference. You will enter an exciting, interdisciplinary environment where personal well-being and professional quality are given high value and where the opportunities to influence your own area of work are great.

The position is fixed-term for 24 months with the possibility of extension.
