About the job
Be part of creating the framework for research, education and innovation.
Do you want to work in one of the country's strongest client organizations and help develop buildings and physical frameworks of high quality for research and education?
At CAS Bygherre you will have the opportunity to lead exciting and complex construction projects on DTU's campuses and become part of an organization where professionalism, collaboration, quality and sustainable solutions go hand in hand.
You drive the process forward to the finished building
As a project manager you are the driving force in the construction projects. You create momentum and ensure that the projects are developed and carried out within the agreed frames for quality, economy and time. In close collaboration with users, stakeholders and management you set the direction for the projects from the initial strategic phases and choice of procurement form to the handover of the finished construction.
You translate analyses, stakeholder dialogue and different solution scenarios into clear decision proposals that form the basis for the development of DTU's campuses.
You ensure a clear coherence between analysis basis, assessments and recommendations and are at the same time responsible for setting the direction and maintaining focus on what matters throughout the process. To support your work you will have a team of advisers, and in addition you will become part of a strong professional community in the client's team, where sparring and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.
Your workplace will be on DTU's campus in Lyngby, where you will become part of the Client 2 Client Section in DTU’s Campus Service. You join a strong professional environment with engaged colleagues who value knowledge sharing, sparring and cross-disciplinary collaboration. We believe that the best results are created in a collective effort, and therefore helpfulness and good collaboration are a natural part of everyday life. Although we have many exciting projects underway, we prioritize a healthy balance between work and private life.
Your main areas of responsibility as a project manager will be
- project management of larger renovation, new build and civil engineering tasks
- close collaboration with CAS Operations to develop operation-friendly and sustainable solutions
- management of the projects' quality, economy and time as well as internal reporting
- communication with and building relationships to internal and external stakeholders
- procurement and contracting with consultants and contractors
- leading the construction phases in order to secure the project's successful execution
- collection and processing of input for decision proposals with clear and well-founded recommendations
About you
You probably have a degree as an engineer, building constructor or architect and several years of experience in project management of construction projects. If you have a craft background we see this as a strength. You have a solid understanding of the different disciplines of construction and thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration with stakeholders.
You may have built your experience with a contractor, consultant or architectural firm, but most importantly you have experience in driving construction projects safely through complex processes to a successful result.
You work in a structured and independent manner and have a good overview of complex tasks. At the same time you are able to systematize and translate information into concrete solutions. You thrive in a workday with varied tasks and naturally collaborate with colleagues and external partners. Additionally you are skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships and are happy to take initiative to create new opportunities and collaborations.
