Project Manager for Building Services at Hartvig Gruppen A/S

When a client is visited by Hartvig Gruppen A/S, they should experience that what we have promised is also what they receive: delivered on time, in the right quality and without surprises along the way. Therefore we are looking for a project manager for building services who finds ownership of their case important and natural from contract to handover, and who has an eye for both economy, quality and the good collaboration along the way in the case.

You will become part of our project manager team which today consists of 10 colleagues, where we every day work together to get cases, tradespeople and customers to fit together, whether it is an insurance claim, an apartment renovation or another service task. It’s about both the good management of the individual case and the good collaboration with colleagues around it.

That has been the case since 2010, when it was just Anders Hartvig and a van. Today we are more than 70 colleagues across carpenters, bricklayers, painters, joiners and administration – but we still go to work every day with the same mindset: we do it properly.

What we would most like to be known for is still the same as in 2010: to do a proper and honest piece of work – together. As a project manager you get full control of your own cases and become a central part of the community that ensures that the work performed matches what we promised the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As Project Manager in building service cases at Hartvig Gruppen A/S you report to the department manager and you will be responsible for:

• Independent management of your own cases from contract to handover
• Leading your own team of carpenters, bricklayers, painters and joiners
• Full financial and quality control of your cases

And you will work with, among other things

• Plan and manage schedules so that cases are on time and within budget
• Order and coordinate deliveries and manage the logistics around the case
• Enter into agreements with subcontractors and negotiate prices and terms
• Be the customer's fixed point of contact and nurture the good relationships we have built over the years
• Ensure that all cases are delivered in the quality we are known for
• Assess insurance claims and ensure correct documentation on the cases where it is relevant
• Ensure a good handover and conclusion when the case is completed

YOUR PROFILE

We imagine that you are used to taking full responsibility for a case, from finances and schedule to quality and safety, and that you are comfortable negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers in an honest and trust-building way.

You are structured and solution-oriented, and you maintain overview and calm even when things move fast. You are good at delegating and acting as a sparring partner for your colleagues, and your leadership style is motivating and collaborative, with room for self-insight and humor.

It is an advantage if you are a trained carpenter or joiner with experience in project management in the construction industry. An additional education, such as a building designer, is also valued but not required. Knowledge of estimating insurance claims and experience with Scalepoint and MS Office are also advantageous.

The position is 37 hours per week at our office in Gentofte.
