About the job

Do you want to help drive development, digitization, and smarter workflows across Planning, Building and Environment in the Bornholm Regional Municipality? And do you thrive in a role where you will both create progress in concrete projects, bring together different professional disciplines, and help translate ideas into solutions that work in practice?

Then we have an exciting maternity cover as a project manager in the Center for Environment, Planning and Culture.

You will become part of Planning, Building and Environment and take on a broad role with tasks across the disciplines. The common feature of the tasks is that they require coordination, structure, and a focus on both people, processes, and the municipal organization.

Your tasks

As a project manager you will work with a range of development and digitization tasks. You will both be responsible for independent projects and participate in larger cross-cutting initiatives.

A substantial part of the job will be to drive projects within digitization, process optimization and efficiency improvement. This could for example be the implementation of new digital solutions, development of workflows or projects where new technological possibilities must be translated into concrete value in the individual departments and across the organization.

In addition, you will take on project management and coordination tasks in connection with larger cross-cutting projects involving several disciplines, external actors and authorities.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • drive and coordinate projects from idea and clarification to implementation and follow-up so that new solutions are anchored in practice.
  • support digitization and development of smarter workflows
  • identify and work with opportunities for process optimization and efficiency
  • plan and facilitate meetings, workshops and cross-disciplinary processes
  • coordinate between different disciplines and ensure progress
  • prepare decision proposals, notes and other written material

You do not need to be an expert in all the areas you work with – your strength lies in project management and in creating the framework that makes the disciplines work together.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education and experience with project management, development tasks, or similar. You do not need to be a specialist in Planning, Building and Environment, but it is advantageous if you have experience from a politically led organization or otherwise know how to work in a public organization.

You work independently and in a structured way, are good at building relationships and can maintain an overview when many parties and different interests are involved.

We also value that you

  • can create structure and progress in complex tasks
  • enjoy moving between different disciplines and collaborators
  • communicate clearly and confidently both verbally and in writing
  • are curious about digitization and new ways to solve tasks
  • have an eye for both the process and the result that should come out of it

We offer

We offer an exciting and varied maternity leave replacement, where you will have the opportunity to work with development, digitization and project management across Planning, Building and Environment.

You will get an independent and cross-cutting role with great variation in tasks and collaboration with many different disciplines – both in Planning, Building and Environment, across the Bornholm Regional Municipality and with external partners.

You will become part of a small team of cross-disciplinary project managers. You will each run your own projects, but sit together and have the opportunity for ongoing sparring on project management and concrete tasks, share experiences and inspire one another.

With us you get

  • a varied daily life with a lot of independence and responsibility for your own projects
  • opportunity to work with both larger cross-cutting projects and concrete development, digitization and efficiency tasks
  • a cross-disciplinary working environment with collaboration across disciplines and the organization
  • opportunity to influence how tasks and processes are approached
  • a workplace focused on development, digitization and good solutions across the board

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and according to the principles of local pay formation. A Category B driving license – regular car – is required.

The position is 37 hours per week with an expected duration of approx. 1 year.
