About the job

Do you want to help shape one of Denmark's upcoming national industrial parks and drive a development project of great importance for growth and business development in South Zealand?

Næstved and Vordingborg Municipalities are seeking an experienced project manager to drive the further development of Industrial Hub Zealand. You will play a central role in an ambitious and politically prioritized project, where physical planning, land development and collaboration with many different actors go hand in hand.

The project is still in the startup and planning phase. Therefore you will have good opportunities to influence both the physical development, the master plan and the further organization of the project.

About Industrial Hub Zealand

Næstved and Vordingborg Municipalities have joined forces to develop Industrial Hub Zealand, which has been designated as one of the upcoming national industrial parks.

The ambition is to create a business area with international relevance that can attract larger manufacturing companies, create jobs and contribute to regional growth. The project is developed in close collaboration with the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) and has strong political support in both municipalities.

Your role

As project manager you will be the driving force for the further development of Industrial Hub Zealand. You must create structure and momentum, bring together the many involved stakeholders and ensure that decisions are translated into concrete next steps.

Your focus will be particularly on physical planning, land development and the ongoing master plan. At the same time you will play an important role in dialogue with landowners and in collaboration with authorities, utility companies, advisors, business organizations and potential companies.

You will, among other things,

  • drive the overall progress and maintain an overview of the project's many strands
  • drive the work with physical planning, land development and the master plan
  • coordinate contributions from different disciplines across the two municipalities
  • build and maintain good relations with landowners and other partners
  • collaborate with the Danish Business Authority and other external actors
  • serve and advise the political steering group and prepare decision proposals and presentations.

Overall you will have a central coordinating role and a broad contact interface to both professional environments, directors and the political steering group.

Who are you?

You have solid experience in project management and experience with physical planning and/or management of larger land use and development projects. Your experience could, for example, be from industrial areas, urban development, port redevelopment, new districts or other complex physical development projects.

You may come from a municipality or governmental organization, consulting or contractor industry, or a larger public or semi-public company. Municipal experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

We also expect that you

  • have an understanding of planning and regulatory processes
  • are strong in collaborating with different stakeholders
  • can create structure and momentum in complex projects
  • thrive on working independently and taking responsibility
  • can navigate confidently between different professional, organizational and political levels.

Your specific educational background is less decisive than your experience, but you likely have a relevant advanced education in fields such as physical planning, urban and land development, engineering, architecture or geography.

An opportunity to make your mark

You come in early in a highly prioritized and long-term development project and therefore have the opportunity to make a clear imprint on the further development of Industrial Hub Zealand.

Your daily organizational placement will be in a planning department in either Næstved or Vordingborg Municipality depending on your preferred workplace. The position is a permanent contract for 37 hours per week including lunch, and salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement.

We look forward to hearing from you
