Project Manager for large and complex infrastructure projects

Are you a skilled project manager who can drive processes through to completion? Then you now have the opportunity to develop, renew and upgrade tomorrow's large railway projects as part of Banedanmark's experienced project organization.

As our new project manager you will be the central figure in the execution of a larger construction or renewal project. You will work from a political vision to create greener and more coherent infrastructure in Denmark – and you will be with us from planning to completion.

We collaborate closely with both Danish and European client advisers and contractors and carry out ongoing large projects on the Danish railway network.

Extensive personal responsibility with opportunity for development

As project manager you will have overall responsibility for leading the project team. You are responsible for ensuring that the agreed scope is delivered within the project’s defined framework – including time, budget and risk management. You will receive solid support from Banedanmark’s own design managers, who contribute with professional sparring and ensure that the projects live up to our high quality standards. In addition you will train new project managers and contribute to the professional and organizational development of the section through strategic initiatives.

At Banedanmark we cultivate project management as a central discipline, and you will become part of a team comprising skilled project manager colleagues who focus on delivering their projects. You will work very closely with your immediate supervisor, who supports you with sparring, board meetings, feedback and competence development. We provide the framework – you set the direction.

Well-developed analytical skills as well as solid decision-making capacity

We envisage that you have solid experience with project management and an academic education.

In addition we hope you can recognize the following

• You have solid analytical abilities combined with a strong ability to decide.
• You are quick to acquire new knowledge and get acquainted with new processes.
• You understand how to work in a structured way and can prioritise your tasks.
• You understand how to manage a stakeholder with great interest in the activities.
• You present yourself professionally and have good communication skills at different levels, for example with consultants, technicians and political stakeholders – both orally and in writing.

Experience in working with schedules, risk assessments and contract management is a big plus, as this will be an essential part of your work to complete your projects. Your new workplace

Salary

If you are an academic, you are employed under the then applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You are placed based on academic seniority and experience as a senior consultant or principal consultant according to the current agreement, which you find here and the Employee and Competence Agency’s salary overview, which you find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is potential for negotiation of allowances. There will be an employer-funded pension plan of 18.07% attached to the overall salary.

Otherwise you are employed under the then applicable Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organization – The State Sector (OAO-S joint agreement) and the organizational agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff.

The position is essentially placed in salary grade 4 according to the current agreement, which you find here and the Employee and Competence Agency’s salary overview, which you find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is potential for negotiation of allowances. To the total salary there will be attached an employer-funded pension scheme of 16%.
