About the job

Do you want to help create a better marine environment, more biodiversity and coherent marine natural areas in Naturpark Svanegrund?

The Naturpark Svanegrund Foundation is seeking a dedicated and structured project manager who will help develop and implement concrete marine nature restoration projects.

As project manager you will play a central role in safely taking projects from idea and preliminary studies to authorities' approvals, tendering, implementation, documentation and dissemination. You will also be an important driving force in developing new projects and collaborations within Naturpark Svanegrund.

You will become part of Naturpark Svanegrund’s secretariat, which consists of the secretariat manager, the project manager, and part-time staff with competencies in, among other things, nature guiding, project economics, accounting, communication, social media, web and IT.

About Naturpark Svanegrund

Naturpark Svanegrund is being established and covers sea and coastal areas from the west coast of Samsø to the east coast of Jutland around Odder, Horsens, Hedensted, Norsminde and Horsens Fjord. With a total sea area of about 84,000 hectares, Naturpark Svanegrund will be Denmark’s largest marine nature park.

The park works to protect, convey and develop nature and outdoor recreation areas for the benefit of the marine environment, biodiversity, local communities and the many visitors.

The entire Naturpark Svanegrund will be your area of work.

Your primary workplace will, as a rule, be the park’s secretariat at Rådhusgade 3, 8300 Odder, where we share a coworking space with Odder Municipality’s Technical and Environmental Department.

Our projects

Naturpark Svanegrund works, among other things, with

  • Establishment and restoration of stone reefs
  • Reestablishment and spread of eelgrass
  • Establishment and support of mussel beds
  • Improvement and linking of nearshore marine habitats

About the job

As project manager you will be the daily coordinator of Naturpark Svanegrund’s marine nature restoration projects.

You will need to translate project ideas, grants and professional knowledge into concrete actions in the sea and along the coast. The role is broad: you must both manage administrative and financial processes and coordinate the scientific and practical aspects of the projects.

You will have responsibility for creating momentum and coherence from the first project idea to the finished project – and for ensuring that experiences, results and data are documented and disseminated.
