A central key role with bridging across the Nordics

As Project Manager for Nordic strategy execution, you will hold an absolutely key role, bridging the executive suite and day-to-day operations. Simpson Strong-Tie is in full swing of integrating and unifying the Nordic locations (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland) into one common organisation and operating model, and it will be your responsibility to ensure structure, transparency and measurable progress in the commercial strategy toward 2030.

You will step directly into the broader Nordic leadership team with a reporting line to the Regional Director, and you will gain a strong central point of contact to the European strategic leadership as well as local leaders across the Nordics. The culture carries a local touch of a strong "family feel" with an informal tone, but is simultaneously undergoing a significant transformation toward a more systematized and structured setup in the organisation.

It is therefore essential that you understand how to operate across many different cultures in a matrix setup and can foster collaboration across functions such as sales, production, supply chain, technical support, customer service, HR and finance.

Your day-to-day will include

•Create overview and build structure: You familiarize yourself with 24 strategic initiatives and establish a well-functioning "mini PMO office" so there is an overview of ownership, resources and milestones.

•Translate strategy into action: You translate ambitious goals into concrete work plans and ensure the initiatives are anchored locally with the responsible employees across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

•Act as liaison and remove bottlenecks: Through close follow-up you identify barriers, ensure the right priorities and create a solid decision-making basis via data-driven reporting to the management meetings.

•Drive change and projects: You lead as the executing project manager on selected strategic initiatives, where you create momentum and learn the mechanisms across the organisation.

Your professional and personal profile

To succeed in the role, we envision you as a proactive profile with strong abilities in project management and strategy execution. Your exact educational background may vary – the crucial thing is that you have a strong practical toolbox and experience translating strategic goals into concrete actions in practice. Since you will be part of an international matrix organisation, it is also a requirement that you communicate fluently in English.

As a person you have a pronounced sense of situation and strong relational skills. To meet the ambitious growth targets, your effort must be put into a fixed framework. Here you will come into play as the change agent who pulls the threads and drives the initiatives forward, while you manage to build trust and meet people at eye level.
