Construction projects – Soil, sewer, concrete and paving – North and West Jutland

Do you have experience with civil engineering contracts and a desire to lead exciting construction projects in North and West Jutland? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for.

The job

With reference to the department head and based in Thisted, you will be responsible for leading construction projects in North and West Jutland. There may also be assignments elsewhere in the country depending on the project portfolio.

In the civil works department, work is primarily performed in main contracts for public clients (municipalities, various utilities, etc.) and private investors, but also as a large-/medium-sized contractor for selected turnkey contractors. In addition, you work within your own main and turnkey contracts (for the company’s own construction divisions) with in-house production of soil, sewer, concrete and paving.

As a project manager at HMC you will play a central role in planning, coordinating, and delivering civil projects. You work closely with colleagues, clients and advisors and ensure that the projects are delivered on time, in the right quality and within the budget.

Your primary tasks will thus be

• Management of your own civil projects, including ensuring that the projects are implemented optimally with focus on time, quality and economy
• Project economics and post-calculation
• Procurement and contract negotiations
• Prepare and revise schedules
• Occupational safety and quality assurance
• Ensure a good team spirit and morale among the employees
• Calculation of independent bids for future cases in close collaboration with your colleagues

Qualifications

You have solid experience as a project manager with management of civil works and experience with in-house production. You are a result-oriented, persistent and self-driven leadership profile, with control of the details and your processes. In addition you are able to keep an overview – even when there are many balls in the air. You take responsibility, make decisions and ensure progress in the tasks. At the same time you are a good colleague who contributes to a positive working environment.

Furthermore, your personality is crucial to your success. You are determined and focused on your goals, just as you are friendly and have really good communication and negotiation skills, combined with the necessary firmness and assertiveness. You can create structure and have solid financial insight and good business understanding.
