About the job

Campus Service (CAS) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is looking for a project manager for the section Operations Planning and Operational Projects (DPP).

The job as project manager in DPP

In DPP we are the client for projects that, among other things, involve modernization and conversion of the existing building stock, preparation of strategic analyses for operations optimization and concepts for infrastructure.

As project manager in DPP you will have the responsibility to carry out diverse projects in close cooperation with skilled colleagues, external advisors and contractors. DPP’s projects are always cross-disciplinary, and we focus on developing and challenging, so that we together find the best solutions. Your daily life will therefore be varied with many kinds of relationships and projects - varying in scope, size and complexity.

You will have independent responsibility for renovation, modernization or conversion projects of technical or multidisciplinary character, where you always have direct contact with the users or the customer for task definition, to then ensure that design and execution occur in accordance with agreed time, economy and quality. You will work closely with CAS’ subject managers in the areas of operations, economics, occupational health and law, and you will involve them in your projects, from the early idea to handover.

To thrive and perform well in the role, you have the following background and experience

  • you are educated as an engineer and moreover have at least 5 years of well-documented experience as an interdisciplinary project manager within the construction industry
  • you speak and understand Danish
  • you have experience in the role of client or client advisor
  • you work independently with your projects
  • you work structured and have an overview and a sense for systematizing many pieces of information
  • you master communication and build trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders

You can see yourself in the following

  • you want development, both personally and professionally, in collaboration with inspiring colleagues
  • you want a working environment where you can develop your working methods and your professional skills
  • you thrive with having several and often technically complex projects in your portfolio
  • you thrive with broad contact with users, operations staff, advisors and contractors, both at the project office, with the user in the laboratory and on the construction site
  • you thrive in projects with many stakeholders, where planning and execution take into account the university’s operations, i.e. teaching and research.

About us in CAS

  • we offer an exciting job in inspiring environments
  • we are a workplace with an informal tone in a flat structure
  • we want the good working environment with room for both immersion and community
  • we try to create variation in daily activities, where we actively use each other’s competencies to solve our projects as best as possible
  • we place our project managers’ personal and professional development high and give good room for further education

DTU strives to create a vibrant campus environment for the benefit of researchers, teachers and students, and ultimately to benefit society and you will be part of contributing to this continued development and adaptation of DTU’s campuses - buildings and infrastructure.
