Project Manager for large and complex infrastructure projects

Are you a skilled project manager who can drive processes to completion? Then you now have the opportunity to develop, renew and upgrade future large railway projects as part of Banedanmark's experienced project organization.

As our new project manager, you will be the focal point in the execution of a larger construction or renewal project. You work from a political vision to create greener and more coherent infrastructure in Denmark – and you are with us from planning to completion.

We collaborate closely with both Danish and European clients/commissioning bodies and contractors and carry out ongoing large projects on the Danish railway network.

You will be employed in the division Construction , more precisely in the area Track Projects , where we have the overall responsibility for project execution.

No two days are the same, and you will experience a varied environment where you play a central role in a project organization, where improvement culture and professional development are in focus.

Significant personal responsibility with opportunity for development

As project manager you will have the overall responsibility for leading the project team. You are responsible for ensuring that the agreed scope is implemented within the project's fixed framework – including time, budget and risk management. You will receive solid support from Banedanmark's own design leads, who contribute with professional sparring and ensure that the projects meet our high-quality standards. In addition you train new project managers and contribute to the professional and organizational development of the section through strategic initiatives.

At Banedanmark we cultivate project management as a central discipline, and you will become part of a team consisting of skilled project manager colleagues who focus on delivering their projects. You will work very closely with your immediate supervisor, who supports you with sparring, board meetings, feedback and competence development. We give you the framework – you set the direction.

Well-developed analytical abilities as well as a solid decision-making capacity

We imagine you have solid experience with project management and have an academic education.

In addition we hope that you can recognise the following

• You have solid analytical properties combined with a solid decisiveness.
• You quickly manage to acquire new knowledge and familiarise yourself with new processes.
• You understand how to work in a structured way and are able to prioritise your tasks.
• You understand how to manage a stakeholder with great interest in the activities.
• You present yourself professionally and have good communication skills at different levels, e.g. to advisers, technicians and political stakeholders – both verbally and in writing.

Experience in working with schedules, risk assessments and contract management is a big plus, as this will be an essential part of your work to achieve your projects.

Salary

If you are an academic, you are employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You are placed based on academic seniority and experience as a special consultant or chief consultant according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee- and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiating allowances. There will be an employer-financed pension scheme of 18.07%.

Otherwise you are employed under the applicable Central Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organizations – The Public Sector Area (OAO-S Central Agreement) and the organizational agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT employees.

The position is initially placed in salary grade 4 in accordance with the applicable agreement, which you can find here and the Employee- and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is the possibility for negotiating allowances. There will be a total salary with an employer-financed pension scheme of 16%.
