Design Manager for exciting and complex projects

We are experiencing high activity and have several exciting projects in our portfolio. Therefore we want to strengthen our organization with a design manager who can ensure a structured and efficient design process and help create a strong foundation for the projects' execution.

Your role as a design manager

As a design manager you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and following up on the design for one or more projects. You will be the link between project management, consultants, specialists and the client.

You will have a central role in ensuring that the design supports the project’s goals for time, budget, quality and working environment. At the same time you must ensure that the solutions are developed, coordinated and practically feasible.

A key part of your role will be to create an overview of interfaces and decisions as well as ensure clear communication among the many involved parties.

Your primary areas of responsibility

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• plan, lead and coordinate the design process
• develop and follow up on design plans, deliverables and decisions
• ensure progress and quality in the design material
• identify and manage technical risks, interfaces and ambiguities
• ensure that relevant requirements from the client, authorities and the project organization are incorporated
• support the project management with a decision basis and ongoing status
• ensure a good transition from design to execution.

Are you our new colleague?

We imagine that you are a trained engineer, designer or have a similar relevant technical background. You have experience with design or design management from the construction or civil engineering sector and understand the connection between design and execution.

What will you be part of?

You will become part of a growing department that today consists of about 50 staff. With us you have the opportunity to shape collaboration forms, knowledge sharing and the ongoing development of the projects. We are a department where you plan your own day and have the opportunity to work from our office in Glostrup, from construction sites and from home. You can for example be attached to large and complex projects such as Energiø Bornholm, where design management plays a central role in the design and execution phases.
